Ooh you snuckered in as I was signing out Hazel. Thank you for the explanation I have never heard Physocarpus being called Ninebark before - my new bit of knowledge for tonight.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
PR A good bag of compost is very useful to have, should get some good results with that with your left overs mixed in, Goodnight Hazel & LB, Goodnight All, sleep well.Â
Ignored one of those strange showers this afternoon, where it rains lightly for about 5-10 mins despite the skies above looking like it really shouldn't be raining at all. Then stops as quickly as it started. Put a dustsheet over the bike shed doors that were getting their second coat of paint and carried on
There's some really grotty stuff forecast for midweek so thought it best to get it done. As it brightened up I carted on and did the 'big shed' as well.
Sowed a few more seeds - peas, echinacea and dahlia - in toilet rolls (classy!) and some sunflowers in the side border.
Chive, I agree about the compost. I remember when I first moved in here and as people asked me each year what I wanted for my birthday, I always asked for bags of compost.
Biglad, in true Blue Peter fashion the inners of toilet rolls are so versatile. Great for growing sweetpeas that like a long root run.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I've just seen the first youngster on his way up the lane to the high school in the village and unfortunately for him it is pouring down outside. Bet you're glad you got your painting done yesterday Biglad.
