Hello there Chive, Debs, PR, Ruby, RosieBB, SGL and T'Bird. Got to Spooksavers a wee bit early so I had a little saunter around town. I do have to say it was very depressing with most of the shops either closed or boarded up. It really did feel like a ghost town. Specs were treated to the plastic bendy heating thingy and there was a definite improvement. I was advised to wear these for about a week and to see how they were. I'm going to have to have more heated treatment though because they now slide down my nose  and I keep having to shove them up. I can't be doing with that! I'll ring tomorrow for another appointment. The cold finally drove me indoors (still no sun here T'bird) and my hands were complaining like mad. I consoled myself by looking through a lovely seed catalogue that arrived in the post today. Very tempting!
PR, don't you just hate it when the 'computer says no'? Pleased to hear of the negative result for your son. RosieBB that is such a great time to go to the SM. I prefer going then - less crowding. SGL, did you enjoy your amble to the village to post your card? Debs and T'Bird, I have a feeling that both of you will have been cracking on in your gardens today. I hope that the backs are holding up. T'Bird, how is the drive development coming along? I think it might be time for another cuppa. Tea and biscuits available for visitors.

Had a lovely stroll to the village thank you  @Ladybird4 although it did take awhile as I kept bumping into friends (on their own)  on the  way there and back. Had a lovely chat to each of them.
Also ive done a bit of gardening in the sunshine and im now sitting on the sofa with a lovely cup of tea.
Sorry to hear you need to go back to Spooksavers😕
Oops, sorry Rosie, I didn't see you there earlier. Have you found your ring yet, I do hope so.
Hi @Topbird good to see you.
Has everyone seen LOD yet, I did enjoy it, but it did seem a rather weird follow on. By the reviews im not alone.  Not so about the new DCI 🤔
Haven't watched last night's Unforgotten yet,  another good series.

SGL, you are in for another treat. I'm not saying anything except brace yourself. Its so lovely meeting people like that SGL. This is why last Thursday was such a special day. I am going to meet up with my Bestie again this Thursday - weather permitting. Must remember to light my light in the window tonight at 20:00. If the temperature is not too bad I will venture outside too.

Just come in from the garden and out of the shower. It's been a lovely day out there but the wind is very chill - had a fleece and a body warmer on for most of the time. Back is reminding me I'm not 21 anymore...

The drive is all but finished LB. The landscaper returned on Friday to roll the hoggin but the rain on Thursday meant it was too wet to do a proper job. He's left it to dry out and will pop back this week to finish - it's only a 10 minute job with the whacker plate, then rake the shingle over and whack again.

No spoilers but we enjoyed LOD on Sunday. In an ideal world we would probably have recorded it and watched the whole series over a couple of evenings but there's been so much hype, we thought it would be impossible to not see, read or hear a spoiler. Glad we remembered to put on the subtitles though - all those acronyms! Had to stop and Google CHIS about a third of the way in. It was being used all the time and although we'd worked out what it meant, we couldn't quite come up with words to fit - (Covert Human Intelligence Source). Thought it was interesting the announcer felt the need to explain it at the end too!

Haven't watched Unforgotten - that's one I have recorded - might have to start it very soon.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Afternoon all.
I just came from my cottage. Today was beautiful sunny day, just little bit chilly. I prepared three fields for planting and have two more to do. Yesterday was also nice and easy day, despite it was Monday. Now shower, then tea and dinner. See you all in hour or little bit more.

T'Bird, I have to 'fess up that I have always had a secret wish to use a whacker plate - its about Number: 256 on my bucket list!
I was a bit puzzled about the acronyms too and yes - The Unforgotten - you need to watch it. Excellent viewing.

Hello there Ante, you snuckered in. Good to hear that yesterday was a better day for you. Goodness but you have been a busy bee getting those fields ready. Will you be growing any new crops this year? I bet that your fruit trees are going to look beautiful when their blossom arrives.

Hi LB. Fruit trees are still in dormancy but they will be beautiful for sure. I have few new variety of cucumbers, tomatoes, courgettes and few more things. I bought a runner bean for the first time. Every year I try to grow something new. An of course onions, these year 17 kg I have to plant.  😂

    @Ladybird4.........😨😨 We watched last night's Unforgotten! 😲 👍

@Topbird A lot of people thought they were saying something completely different  to CHIS  and thats why they announced it at the end of the programme 😞 We recorded it and watched it yesterday.  Apparently there were a lot of complaints about how many times it was said without once saying it in full. 😊
@Ladybird4  It was really lovely seeing and chatting to them this morning, did me good 🤗😍
