Morning Hazel, An exciting sight in your garden, things are beginning to emerge now new growth & buds it is uplifting to see.
I’ve hung my wet things out and tidied up a leggy Pelargonium which is still flowering happily in a pot. Back indoors for a tea break before starting dinner.
    Have a lovely afternoon everyone.
  • Afternoon, it was rather cold over it’s frost was forecast.  I did a sm shop this morning, not too busy.  Arrived home, unpacked and popped round to see Rubee and oh for lunch.  It’s good to catch up.  Had a restless night so I’m having a lazy day today.  I was cleaning the fridge at 4am.  Wishing you all a good day.

    Hello

Hazel, lovely to see things coming back to life after the winter.

Been a busy morning. Went to get a few garden supplies from the horticultural club shop. It was very busy. I suppose it's the first morning open after closing last Autumn. Came home and although I did not intend to do much in the garden, I found a few jobs that needed doing. I then sat with a cup of tea and had a little ponder whilst listening to the birds.

Just got a big pan of soup on the go, leek and potato which we are having when Mr PurpleRose gets in from work with warm buttery rolls.

I hope you all have a lovely afternoon

Hello all. Been a bit tired and headachy after work yesterday. Access to toilets on Saturdays is limited so I try not to drink anything and always end up with a headache on Sunday.
Sunny here but very cold. Done some unmentionables and now reading under my cosy throw.
Sweet pea seeds are coming up I must resist the temptation to sow lots more seeds when I have very little space for seedlings until the weather warms up.

Evening everyone, the sun has broken through here finally just before it starts to set,
RosieBB Sorry you had a restless night, ColTT isn’t watching at that time of the morning is he 😉 nice to pop in & see Rubee & OH after the SM, hope you’ve had an easy afternoon,
PurpleRose Did you manage to buy anything from the horticultural club this morning? My favourite homemade soup is leek & potato with warm buttered rolls that sounds delicious 😋
Hazel a busy afternoon in the garden, shame the forgetmenots have disappeared, but your soil sounds lovely and healthy,
Debs Sorry to hear you’re suffering a headache today, it does sound like the lack of fluids is a cause. Take care, stay cosy wrapped up with your throw,
Dinner is eaten, flat hot things done, time to put feet up.
    Have a nice evening all.

Good afternoon everyone. I have managed to get quite a lot done in the garage, greenhouse and garden today but it wasn't exactly warm. My garden is awash with snowdrops, daffodils and the leaves of tulips with promises of a further display later on. I had put some bird cherries in a little pot in the fridge for 3 months, planted them into a fresh pot in the greenhouse and I have got one small bird cherry tree growing. It did take me a while to remember what I had put in the fridge to stratify. At least I didn't eat the contents of the pot!
RosieBB, you are a little maverick. Col TT has got his beady eye on you. Seriously, I am so sorry that you had another broken night's sleep last night and hope you have had a bit of a chance to rest today - though it is normally your Lily's TV day.
PR, like Chive, leek and potato soup is one of my favourites and the sound of warm, buttery rolls sounds perfect. What interesting things did you manage to find at the horticultural club?
Hazel, you have been busy today as well. I am still puzzling over Ninebark though 🤔
Debs, I get headaches when I am short of liquid intake. Rehydrate yourself well tonight.
Chive, my paper pot rolling did get better and better the more I did. Lets hope that the seeds germinate well. I'm looking forward to Episode 3 of Bloodlands tonight.

Sorry to hear about your For Get Me Nots disappearing Hazel. I do like them.

I didnt get anything interesting from Hoticultural Club Shop. 150 litres of Compost. It will be interesting though using it when I do my pots and hanging basket. I have bits of bottles of plant feed and a part box of FB&B so I will hang on to get restocked with all that.

I also get headaches when dehydrated. A good glug of water does the trick.

Morning all, a bit better this morning weather wise. Had a wee walk round the garden earlier, and unless my eyes are deceiving me, I rather think I've seen a tiny wee red bud coming on the Pyscocarpus, Ninebark.....fingers crossed! Think I've accidentally pressed a button to turn me into italics!
Hope you all have a good day today.
It was this post you made earlier Hazel. Not sure what the Ninebark is.

You might find that some forget me nots germinate a bit later Hazel - when it warms up a bit more.
