@Marlorena I planted some Veronicastrum ‘Fascination’ last year as small plants which unfortunately didn’t flower that year, but they’re supposed to flower late summer so should be nice with roses? Yours look larger than mine though so maybe you’ll get flowers?
@Omori ..oh thanks for that, I didn't know you had them.. oh well, we shall wait and see, but I think the foliage is nice enough though isn't it.. quite stately plants,..
@Tack ..lucky you !.. aren't hellebores expensive though.. for the good ones..
@bullfinch ..oh I see you have Sunny Sky... I hear that's a good rose, looking forward to more photos, it should do well for you.. see how it compare with Golden Beauty, which some of us are growing this year..
@peteS Gallicas are slow to start in spring, as are most of the old European roses and European species roses. My slowest are r. glauca and r. spin. Dunwich Rose, then gallica Belle de Crecy and moss James Veitch. Interstingly, my Alba maxima is quicker than them but still slower than my modern roses.
Excellent job @Mr. Vine Eye , looking good. Is that Euphorbia on the left? Can your little garden helpers be trusted not to get the sap in their eyes or even on their skin?

All laid. I've left it with a plastic sheet over. We're having a day out tomorrow and then I'll point it on Monday 🙂
