  • Those pictures are wonderful, @Marlorena! I especially love the apricot tint on Cornelia. And after all, there's nothing stopping me from getting two different roses in complementing colours!

    Why not think about a bi colour rose as well @SeahorseFriend , there are some lovely coloured ones.😁

    @Nollie WS still is a bit lax even after a few years of planting the health is good, I give it two rose feeds during the season and it keeps it's colour well even in heavy summer downpours.

    Thanks @floralies, very helpful.

    I was wondering why you didn’t mention Cornelia @Marlorena, then you did!

    @celcius_kkw they all look so healthy and harmonious in their pots. I understand the temptation to cut your long MW cane, but I would let it flower then cut it down to size!

  • Hmm, that Mortimer Sackler looks rather lovely @Marlorena and @Yviestevie. Not one I've ever thought of before but you've just given me an idea! Will have to do some research/musing...

    @Mr. Vine Eye
    ...lovely photos as ever from both..

    ..Mr VE.. I see that black and yellow insect in your last picture..do you know what it is please? thanks..   I've spent time looking but couldn't find anything that matched..

    @Yviestevie
    .. Your MS roses are beautiful on the arches... quite stunning that..

    @celcius_kkw
    I agree with Nollie... I would leave it bloom... I sometimes find with this rose that after it's flowered, the cane goes unproductive, and needs to be cut out anyway.. see what happens..
    ...your potted roses are a delight and I never tire of your far reaching views..

    Desdemona is such a beauty.. with foliage to match..

    @Marlorena

    Do you think 'Mortimer Sackler' would enjoy life in a spot which is bright but with minimal sun, growing up an obelisk. I can never quite understand DA's recommendations on planting when it comes to sun requirements.
