Oh no, Charlie Chicken what have you done? That Golden Wings is shocking. Is that CC or a deer? My deer damage is top down so probably not that. Rabbit?
Thank you @poppyfield64, it has a strange name, Primula Strong Beer!
  • We don't get deer here @Tack and the only thing that can get in the garden are birds and insects plus the resident CC.  I am wondering if she is the culprit.  I know she likes certain flowers like lobelia and obviously geraniums but didn't think she would go for roses.  I'm very tempted to dig up GW and put another rose there instead that has more growth on it.  I only plant end of last year as bare root so don't think rose replant would be an issue.

That is an odd name for such a pretty plant lol.  I wonder who comes up with these names.

I could see a lot of aphids developing tonight too. Haven’t seen any sparrows in the garden yet. Hopefully they’ll come, they were here every morning from around this time last year.

...sorry about your munched foliage @poppyfield64 .. I hope Charlie gives you plenty of nice eggs in return...
whoops.. is Charlie a Rooster?    hope your Golden Wings recovers soon... perhaps potting might be a good idea for the moment..

I don't worry about aphids, so I just let them get on with it..

..sorry about your Campanula...  just to share the disappointment, I got 6 small 9cm pots of Phlox from Secret Garden Club few weeks ago... they were nothing but tiny plug plants plonked into a 9cm pot... 3 are dead and other 3 barely surviving... I won't buy from them again, which is a pity as I've had some decent plants off them...

As I understand it SGC sell on remainders from various nurseries across the country. Maybe it wasn't them that potted up the pup...

Beautiful Marlorena, I hope my VB looks as good as yours. I too had a very disappointing order from SGC...I’ve requested a partial refund a week ago but haven’t heard back yet. Don’t think I’ll be ordering from them again 😢

Omori.. I spose I should have done the same but let it go...  we live and learn..

...let me ask Nollie something for tomorrow... @Nollie
..is your 'La Rose du Molinard' in bloom yet?..   I follow Paul Zimmermann on Instagram and his has just starting flowering.. I think he's zone 7b South Carolina, U.S..  northern part of State... I'm always amazed how their roses start well before ours do.. they must get warm Springs..

..I've got potential frosts for next 10 days... 0 to 2 deg at night.. is there no end to this?..
