    @Omori Oops!!
    Thanks for the info, I had removed CDC from my short list as per the advice I got from you guys. Guess I need to keep searching, whilst the short list for future roses keep growing.

    Just wandered around in the sun. Bathsheba has surprised me too, much more green than I thought when I posted earlier. Pondering reinstating this round bed which gives me a fairy ring every Spring. Roses would love it in the sun all day. But I got rid of it because of the watering chore ....Was on the point of hitting send on a DA order when I noticed the gift card has a 2 year validity. Now in a quandary again.
    Lovely idea with the crocus! I just dug holes in the grass this year. They look ok, but this is very effective!

    @newbie77 Thats lovely with all the crocus! Ive got purples popping out in the front garden, I do love them massed like that though, hadnt thought of that for rose beds!

    Ive been busy painting the pergola and topping up the border soil - I managed to plant Lady Marmalade, Abracadabra, Lavender Ice and Raspberry Ripple as well.  The rest I'm hoping to plant this week, lots of holes to dig first!

    ..good to see you again, I had been wondering about you.. so sorry to hear about your husband's problems.. it's bad enough without that happening right now.. so best wishes there..
    I love Scarborough Fair.. I think DA are retiring it, amongst so many others, but it may be just rumour.

    @Fire .. is that your Etoile de Hollande?..  looking good..
    Crimson Glory, I think.

  • Thank you @Marlorena good to see you again too.  He certainly picks his moments to get sick.  It's a really difficult time for everyone but numbers seem to be dropping nicely in Cornwall now.

    I remember seeing your Scarborough Fair and also I think Edhelka has one too.  Reviews seem to be very good for it so looking forward to seeing it in bloom.

    How is your new border coming on.  Have you finished it or still a work in progress?

    ..sorry I missed your post... oh I've been looking at that rose for some time, as I always do with Ronnie Rawlins roses..   I wonder what it's going to be like..
