@Marlorena I don't know the variety of the camellia other than its a japonica species it doesn't normally have pink in the flowers, I rescued it were going in the bin. It might need rescuing from me this year I am going to move it, I don't want to discard it from the garden but its not a great performer probably due with facing east, I am going to plant it at the top of the garden south facing nowhere else for it to go , if it kicks up a fuss its Gone !!! to the other side of the fence on the garage site
The Hellebore I got from the national collection ( Hazel Cross Farm Nursery ) it cost me an arm and a leg for two plants about £50 including P+P but you do get what you ask for . I didn't particularly want to spend that much but once I ask for something I guilt myself into buying it , like going into a local shop and not buying something . They told me you have to see a hellebore in flower before they can sell it , I asked for a White Double Picotee , they sent me loads of pictures etc very helpful . I also got a Veined single peach/Apricot but that's not flowering yet . Farmyard nurseries have a white double picotee for £11.99 2Litre but they is a colour variation your not quite sure what you'll get.
I've had problems with the Crown Fritillaria its the only bed that free enough draining for them, I've tried a few times but these are a up now have stayed and seem to flower now , they smell funny as well like cannabis I get some strange looks buy passer-by's sometimes . I've got them staked at the moment they don't need it but when its cold they form a n shape the flowers almost touch the floor they'd snap without staking , they bounce back in the afternoon but with a kink in the stems. I bought a some fancy Ivory bells perciaria fritallaria and the black ones a couple of years ago, might as well put a match to £50+ didn't get anything .
I've waffled on a bit there I am fed up having the day off , thought I had covid last night but no just the common cold.
@edhelka, thanks for information on hesperanthas. I will see if I can first tidy up foliage. It is a mess at the moment. Mine isnt spreading that much, just has made slightly bigger clump than last year. I have red ones and I like them.
@newbie77 Here are pink and red ones (behind the pink ones) in September. I also have a large clump of red ones in the front garden (October). I have a lot of interest for September but not enough for October and November, so I am adding asters and dahlias this year. I also love my japanese anemones for autumn interest, another spreader but controllable.
@Perki ..no problem about 'waffling'.. very informative as usual.. I hope you feel better soon, I know when I get sniffles I think... oh my God !.. everybody is on tenterhooks these days..
... I think you're what I would call a 'Plantsman'.. not afraid to spend some money if you really want something.. and like the unusual types.. I've just checked out Hazels Farm nursery, I can see why you asked them to pick one out..
..funny about the Fritillaria, I always think they're kind of odd looking plants, and that orange I would find difficult to fit in, with a Spring garden.. and if they smell like that, well.. I've not heard that said before about them actually, so that's interesting..
..hope the Camellia works out, they usually move quite well.. the leaves look healthy enough and appears to have grown well for a rescue..
Speaking of spending money I've just bought some more plants to cheer me up . I bought some Protea's ,leucospermum and a Mimetes variety not grown them before I wanted some last year but missed the boat before they all sold out. I'll have to remember to bring these in over winter unlike my echiums wildpretti I've been growing from seed for 3 years, due to flower this year . I turn off over winter like most plants , lost quite a lot of pelargoniiums and fuchsia this winter.
..adventurous @Perki... I would struggle with those but I've seen Echium pinniana grow well around here, seems to overwinter.. I'm surprised you didn't get that one..
..do you or anyone else have Salvia 'Amistad' ? if so, are you seeing any signs of growth yet..? mine looks dead but I've not rummaged about, so may be premature..
here's some nice lush growth on 'Commandant Beaurepaire'.. shooting out everywhere, just what I like to see..
I managed to pick up a few more Iberis today, popped in to the GC on my way to pick up my old girl from the vet hospital. She took a turn for the worse so was in overnight for tests and observation. Turns out she has an inflamed gut from eating and expelling at both ends whatever disgusting thing she ate. She came back bouncing around and the pills should sort her dicky tummy. Until next time!
Your red Escholzia are luminous @Marlorena. I have a miserable success rate at trying to grow from seed, but I sowed direct the ordinary orange ones last year @Fire and they all came up, too many! Here they are coming up again amongst the last of the Wittallii species tulips:

Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
My Amistad are shooting but I lift mine and throw them in the greenhouse . If they do survive here the slugs nibble the tops off so worth lifting and potting up just in case.
Think I'll give echium pinnina a try, I went with wildpretti cause it had added interest with silver foliage , Wildpretti is a Triannual 3rd year flowering . I were thinking of getting some Puya a few weeks ago until it said nearly all are monocarpic after 7+years , they have the most glorious blue alien like flowers.

@Marlorena, I have Salvia 'Amistad' and I think mine is dead too. I wish I had put it inside the summer house when it was exceptionally cold.
