    ...that regime is for potted roses... the Miracle Gro formula is very good for all potted plants actually as it gives the correct ratio of NPK, unfortunately it's expensive, it doesn't last five minutes, so I've never got enough of it, and have to use other stuff...

    ..for your bare roots in the ground, just use any of the good rose fertilizers out there.. I use David Austins or a similar one by Vitax... but there are many to choose from and they all do the job... do let us know which you are using...

    Morning .
    @Marlorena I've not grown that variety but have grow a couple of others , tend to flop over so require a bit of staking,  flop more in shade . They do rebloom when you deadhead . Other than that easy to grow can't recall any slug damage it were just the tendency to flop over which were a problem for me.

    I have V.schneeriesin which is a nice white form but I can't keep it standing up . Also have V.Blue flame.  And a short one Veronica austriaca crater lake blue great colour but even this short variety flops over the lawn , I've evicted this veronica from the garden for now.

    @Marlorena, thank you for your response. With regards to roses in beds, when should I start to feed and how often please? Do newly planted Roses get treated the same as established ones? t i a

    @Meomye
    ..start to feed anytime in March would be good...  and repeat anytime in June..  I treat all roses the same, new and old, I give them the same amount.. even if it says different on the label..  two small handfuls usually..

    @Perki
    .morning Perki... thanks for that.. I shall have to watch for staking as it's not something I like to do.. I think they might look too much like the Veronicastrums I've got coming, so we'll see...  I know the Crater Lake Blue, I've had that at some point but these are not plants I grow that often..

    @Mr. Vine Eye
    .. are those tadpoles or mosquito larvae?... I can't tell..

    @cooldoc2000 Welcome! Thats a really lovely list you have, few there on my wishlist - I look forward to pics when they all bloom :)
  • @Marlorena the first one is some sort of water beetle and in the second bit it looks like mosquito larvae, but then there's some other little white squiggly things too.

    Exciting!
