@Marlorena not that bed that my home made compost  :)  I am glad you approve, I grow tomato and cucumbers in that bed . The veg bed is outside, other side of the glass of that picture. .

Its been a busy day in the garden I've been out all day today ,I started this morning taking the pots out of the greenhouse and around the GH so I could get the wheelbarrow in and out , I've emptied the tomato - cucumber bed of the old compost . Next job was to fill it back up, I've had a rat in my compost bin by the looks of it but no sign of it so I did eventually fill the bed back up with 3 wheelbarrow loads, I did have a brew break in between barrow loads because the robbin was in the GH mostly likely rummaging through the compost. Also mulched my veg box - veg border out side the GH and partially mulched the two borders in the front garden with my compost , its a bit tricky mulching now with all the alliums growing everywhere . While I was in the front garden I decided to move clematis Miss Bateman to the other fence. And planted some wallflowers out.

I've also been working a lot on the lawn removing concrete and stone slabs, overseeding - top dressing and aerating the lawn .

    ... @Perki
..christ Perki you have been busy.. I bet you get some nice cucumbers from that bed.. nice to get lots of jobs done.. my pavers want pressure washing, I hate that job but you won't see any wide shot photos of my garden until it's done...

I've got Miss Bateman, bit lanky but will be in flower soon.. needs cutting back..

None of my roses have leaves on yet well I haven't noticed any yet.

I've gone back to my old and trusted cucumber passandra can easily get 20+ fruits off one plant, I've tried a few different ones in the past few years but passandra is still by far the best . Yes I butchered my Miss bateman this year, I just bought Madame julia correvon but I am waiting to see if Walenburg comes to after moving it .

I’ve had a fairly productive day as well, the weather was beautiful which always helps. I’ve changed a path which created more space in a bed = room for another rose! 🙏🙌 Just not sure which one yet...possibly something soft yellow 🤔 Nearest neighbours are parma violet and white, so I think the soft yellow should be nice...no buds here yet but plenty of promise, an exciting time of year.

Ps - I’m thinking Vanessa Bell?

Thanks for the advice regarding the plant food, I've got the very thing for the rose bush.  :-)

Are you guys feeding the newly planted bare-root/ potted roses as well? I thought only the established ones should be fertilised with rose pellets/feed.
