You're not wrong @Nollie but I don't blame TCL if the courier company took 9 days, but maybe they shouldn't send them out before Easter. I was promised them mid March hmm maybe it is their fault. But then I've not had a rose die on me yet :p
@cooldoc2000 29th march to today in transit

Oops, my mistake. On night shifts, so disoriented :# May I ask what was the delay in shipping early/ or their excuse for it?

I sometimes wish my charms worked in other directions.

..it does look a nice rose though, doesn't it,  and strong fragrance too..

  • Thanks @newbie77 will be interesting to see how it does.  I have a new garden bench and would like to grow something around it that is fragrant.  Would only get morning sun though.

@Marlorena I had no idea Desdemona could get that big.  Shouldn't surprise me though given how much mine grew in it's first season here.  It's tempting to put her in the ground so she can really spread her wings.

I don't think my water butts have ever been empty this time of year.  I'm normally moaning that we get too much rain  :D

    Morning rosy folk,
Is there any great growth advantage to buying potted roses now as opposed to awaiting the bare root season at year end?
DA have a discount available until 09/04 (MALVERN) assuming I could find anything in stock...
Just another day at the plant...
