Just wandered around in the sun. Bathsheba has surprised me too, much more green than I thought when I posted earlier. Pondering reinstating this round bed which gives me a fairy ring every Spring. Roses would love it in the sun all day. But I got rid of it because of the watering chore ....Was on the point of hitting send on a DA order when I noticed the gift card has a 2 year validity. Now in a quandary again.
@Omori ...thanks so much.. if only I could keep it that way..
@Fire .. is that your Etoile de Hollande?.. looking good.. @Tack .. your Bathsheba is a bit ahead of mine... I hope you reinstate that circle.. pretty crocus too.. I think I've got those purple ones.. Ruby Giant or something..
Lost in the new posts already, shall I just say I am so appreciative and thankful to everyone for their wonderful advice and recommendations, for all the glorious rose photos and for every post on this thread, past, present and future. I apologise humbly, deeply and sincerely if I ever missed someone’s contribution or failed to thank anyone at any point, ever. There, perhaps that will compensate for alleged grumpiness in not ticking boxes. If not, tough! 😆

When I said ‘everyone’ I hereby publish a clarification. ‘Everyone’ means everyone except @Mr. Vine Eye, who is, of course, excluded from being a recipient of any of the above for the foreseeable future. Grovelling and bribes may be taken into account on appeal, but any such inducements cannot guarantee a change of policy 😉

That 'Mme Isaac Pereire' and 'Felicia' looks fab. Its like I ask for a rose and you guys are giving me a rose garden
I have short listed all those names to my waiting list of roses. Since space is a concern at the moment (keeping all my roses in pots), I think I will go for Louise Odier (assuming she does ok in a pot). One that is relatively small among the lot. I wonder how they take hard pruning every year. So they can be contained for a bit longer.
@cooldoc2000 Louise Odier is a large and vigorous rose, it grew to 5’ in a year so not sure it would work for a pot. Comte de Chambord would be ok though.

I'm printing and framing that.
White crocuses (Joan of Arc) in my rose bed:
No code either? Maybe it'll come Inna week or two.
Gives me more opportunity to get the slab moved and planting hole sorted anyway.
