    hi all

Apparently I woke in the night and was very abusive to Moira, asking why she had punched me in the arm. It took some persuading to make me remember I had had the vaccine.
Arm still sore, but otherwise fine.
Have managed to pot on a few seedlings in the greenhouse, first gardening I have done this year. Hopefully the joy will come back and my physical state will allow me to get going.

  • Hi @punkdoc ... you must’ve been sleeping very soundly  ... did Moira thump your other arm as retribution? 😉

Gently does it with the gardening. I’m not going out there ... it’s cold and wet 🌧

I think maybe I have been a bit more wound up about the vaccine, than I had appreciated and it came out last night.

I was really surprised at how emotional I was ... I was quite tearful both when I knew it was booked and after I’d had it done ... and I’m not the weepy type .., I’m a stoic and I’d just been waiting quietly ... now the relief is huge ... but even I dreamt about it last night.

I was so impressed with the whole set up.
With so much carp on the planet, it was wonderful to see a better world in action.
There were 3 volunteers helping parking and getting people into the building and then 15 rooms doing the vaccinations, 2 staff in each. You were then moved into a rest room and after 15 minutes were released. They are doing 1200 a day, just in that one building.

The sun is just peeping thru ahead of schedule after the predicted night and morning of rain, rain and more rain.   Weekly SM raid done with a preliminary detour via the DIY shop to order a new mower for OH - one I can share as it's a sit-on to replace the one that died.  The housing and drive for the blades broke and would cost more to replace and fix than a whole new mower and the new model has grass collectors so no more raking.  The grass in Belgium was always too rich and lush to cooperate with the collectors.

No gardening for me this pm then as it's too wet and soggy but at least it's warm enough for me to paint my table.  Last week the paint was too cold and stiff to spread.

@Pat E 5C sounds cold for you.  We're heading for 10C today and a sunny 18C tomorrow so it'll be play time for me, no doubt with more help from the flock.

Have a productive or comfortable afternoon everyone, depending on your plans and circumstances and weather.

Afternoon all, I've had a lovely couple of hours in the garden clearing out the pond and some more of the borders.  Another day and I think I will have finished clearing up and can get on with mulching and feeding.  Can't wait until I can cut the lawns.
I have the boys tomorrow so wont get out there until the weekend, weatherwise it's looking dodgy for us we seem to be on the edge of the wet/sunny conditions.
Hope everyone who has the jab is feeling OK.

Spent a lovely couple of hours in the GH this morning, potted on a doz of @Dovefromabove’s  Delphinium Requenii, lovely and sunny, just a cardi on.
Short burst of rain a minute ago, sun still shining.
Just made 200 paper pots for leek and onion sowing tomorrow.

Sunshine here as well Lyn but a bit surprised at a chilly wind when I went out a bit later at 11.30 am. Potted up some more perennials and tried to do some weeding but lower back has 'seized' up and it was very painful to bend so had to give that up. Very annoying when the weather is better than it has been for ages.
Just had a SM delivery so cakes later (our Thursday treat) to cheer me up.
    Happy gardening and jabs.
