@Te, can I just clarify something with you?
You have mentioned that you are friendly with Verdun. I am sure you know that Verdun caused a lot of problems on this site and eventually left.
I am sure you want to fit in and enjoy the site, so I think it is worth saying that there are still certain bad feelings around.
Good Afternoon @punkdoc, firstly I’d like to clarify the following, as you or others maybe aware I joined GW a good few years back, at that time Christopher (Verdun) started messaging me which led onto email correspondance this became an internet relationship, although Christopher (not his real name) was very knowledgable with regards gardening at that time he also liked what I call play practical jokes, whilst we was relocating in the south west we did not use the GW forum for a good few years as we had plenty to deal with our new property, Christopher stopped emailing etc, I was NOT aware as you put it that he had caused trouble on this forum, I was aware that he did have more than one alias on the forum, punkdoc I don’t have any issues with any members and if I did I would not be bothered to spend my time on here, however that does not mean I agree with every viewpoint hence just like most forums you will get those that perhaps disagree but just as long this is debated in the proper mannerism it is acceptable,  unfortunately you cannot and will not please everybody that’s the nature of the beast so to speak on social media, i’am purely part of the forum to possibly help others and give advice where needed as much has some light hearted banter.
As said I was not aware Christopher had caused any problems because I was not part of the forum and Christopher did not mention this to me, so i’am not aware of any so called bad feelings on this forum, as I have said I have not been part of the forum for a good few years.
I enjoyed reading yesterday that my post are seen as youthful, I would imagine possibly due to the phrases and wording I use but it did make me chuckle, i’am far from youthful but like to think that way, my partner blames it on the Tumeric, lemon & honey tea I drink, his not a great fan of it.
Obviously I have decided to be open and reply on this post and not hide away in a PM, as said I have nothing to hide, my apologies for any spelling or grammar mistakes it’s never been my strongpoint, unfortunately i have other members who PM me and refer to the so called GW clique although the majority cannot be bothered to even debate or get involved but over the years it has become quite evident and has been highlighted by a good few members most whom have since left the forum because they simply cannot be bothered, if you have done your checks when Verdun left the GW forum i was not posting and obviously not aware of any issues

  • All are welcome to chat on Hello Forkers @Te ... we are not a clique or a coven or any of the other terms that have been bandied about elsewhere. We are just a friendly group of gardeners who like to help others and to share our gardening and other bits and bobs of life.

Some of the regulars who chat here have posted for what seems like aeons ... others are new friends ... some of us have actually met in real life, and others, who have never met, regard their forum friends as ‘real friends’ and would never bait or play unkind tricks on anyone.
Let’s hope those days are well and truly over 😊

That's great @Hostafan1! Did you read about the chaps who did a 'pub' in a garage, complete with bar and seats etc. They actually put a sign outside stating 'The Covid Arms' !!!  Bit of a give-away methinks. They've all got fined of course.

  • Yes I’m fine thanks @Lizzie27 ... I had a headache yesterday afternoon and my arm is a bit painful when I move it or if I roll onto it at night ... but it’s not red or swollen and you can’t see where the injection site was, and I feel fine and very thankful.
