@Lizzie27 we have the same problem with our extractor fan, I'm going to change the vent cover externally with a flap one, I'll let you know if it makes much difference!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

With us it's the cat flap which we cleverly had installed in the west side of our new shower room cos it is next to the terrace.  Prevailing winds are westerly.   Doh!

@Latimer, we do have a flap one, not only is it letting in cold air, it's also noisy
    whilst doing it.
@Obelixx, ditto, except ours is on the east wall and this wind is an easterly one which is unusual in this area. It's now trying to snow horizontally!

Just booked a week in Cornwall in July.  We can cancel up June so we should know if we can go by then.  It's something to look forward.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Like everyone else we are feeling the cold today.  I know it was forecast but it's brutal out there.  When I went to fill the bird feeders I  noticed even the Helibores were drooping.  There were pieces of ice floating in the greenhouse watering can 🥶

Listening to Tapestry by Carole King and just realised it's 50 years old this year.

Oo I love Carole King - one of the first albums I remember playing.
I felt old yesterday when I was filling out a form for my staff members and some of them had Birthdays in 1990-something 😱.

The snow didn’t come to anything and its the last cold night for a while! Enjoyed the rugby and just had a lovely steak and now quaffing some red wine. Hope you are all having a relaxing evening.

  • Happy Valentine’s Day all you lovely lot  ... 🥰 ☕️

Brrrr! It’s still flippin’ chilly out there 🥶

Our heating normally comes on an hour later on Sundays, but I was awake so tiptoed down and switched in on early and brought myself a coffee back to bed ... OH hasn’t stirred ... he’s a really light sleeper during the night, but after sun up he can sleep like a log 😂

There must be a bright pink sky as the sun is rising in the east as I can see a beautiful pink reflection on the western horizon.
