Can't get game here which is odd as there are hunters about.  The only venison I've seen was one Xmas and it was farm reared in NZ.   There are specialist shops apparently, but not local to here and not a sensible journey at the moment.

Thin day here anyway so wholemeal linguine with garlicky, herby mushrooms done with a very small glass of white wine and no cheese or oil.    Chinese feasting tomorrow tho.

Thanks @Busy-Lizzie.  I shall put those on the post Brexit seeds thread along with this lot from whom I have just ordered some tomatoes - https://laboiteagraines.com/categorie-produit/2-graines-semences-graine-semence-potageres-legumes/

In their ancient varieties they have some PSB and a Vendée pumpkin/squash.

  • First time I had wild boar ragu it was served with creamy cheese polenta ... we were in a little village piazza in the hills above Florence cheering on the local cyclists tearing through the village in a downhill race. 😎

Evening. I don’t think I posted yesterday. Gas work was all done in a few hours in the end so didn’t get too chilly, apart from having the window open to ventilate during and after.

Tonight’s menu’s sound good from you guys! Just a semi-home made pizza for us (plain pizza embellished with ham, mushrooms, tomatoes etc) as need quick and easy as didn’t really have lunch.

    Beep beep! It’s ready!

Take care all, whatever the weather.
