Morning all, we had more snow yesterday as it got dark but it was still melting on hard surfaces. We have a bit more this am but nothing compared to you @WonkyWomble. Another one gone Mary Wilson of the supremes RIP.
Heat pumps and ground source heating is ridiculously expensive, out of the realms of everyone I know, as are electric cars. Be interesting to see what happens in the caee of a power cut.Went out for the papers, (one for elderly chap quarter of a mile away), had to walk on road and grass, pavements like skating rink.
The milk and yoghurt have arrived ... Pah! to our English snow ... apparently 👍 ⛄️
Yes @WonkyWomble ... your other bridesmaid down there on the Solent is dead jealous of our snow too. She wants me to send pics of the snowman she thinks we ought to build 🥶
And yay! A pair of bluetits have found the suet pellets 😃

Ah they are beautiful @chicky 😀thank you! Just been for a look round the garden @Allotment Boy Our shed gutter The mermaid rose on the shed has got out of hand but there are 10 bird feeders hung from it and it's constantly busy so I'm not allowed to cut it back too much!

If there's a power cut your gas boiler heating will go off (pumps stop, boiler interlocks cut out). Seat belts and ABS in your car are expensive, but you need to have them.
Lovely snow pics but I'm very happy it's in your gardens not mine. We've got the snow equivalent of drizzle here atm - I'd rather it didn't but I haven't been consulted. At least it's not quite as windy as yesterday - it was bitter.
Keep warm, everyone apart from Pat who should instead 'stay cool'

Only a little snow here @WonkyWomble more had settled in the night but as you see it's melting on hard surfaces. I did just brush the snow off the greenhouse roof, mostly to let the light in. I think that counts as my gardening for today 🙂
No snow here but it is just above freezing and positively persisting down. Fed up. Chooks in the PT again today then.
Yes @raisingirl - nothing here works without leccy except emergency candles and the log burners and the gas hob if I can find the matches.
Love the snowdrops @chicky. I brought 20 small 4" pots of them from my Belgian garden but stupidly forgot to dig up and pot some of the fancier ones. Never mind. The ones I did save have all taken well and will bulk up in time.

Afternoon all, It's freezing cold here but only a light dusting of snow. Have called SIL today he still sounds terrible but at least he can talk now. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a good recovery. Firstborn is back at work now and Merri is back at school. Mabel has had a tummy bug so she is still off for a couple of days.
Don't know if I've mentioned it but Hubby will be getting his jab tomorrow. I will have to wait until the 7.2 million with underlying health conditions are done before I get my invite. Hopefully it wont be too long.
@Hostafan1 you must be freezing. Hope the oil comes soon.
@Pat E I'm so jealous of your weather I am desperate for some warm sunshine.
