    Thanks @Obelixx

60cm diameter presumably? I was thinking 100L but I'm not 100% sure how to convert?

A water butt from the shed roof is under strong consideration. I do already collect in a few tubs and buckets, but a 'proper' system would be better all round.

Afternoon. Just prepping snacks for the rugby.
Did a bit of pottering in garden but my hands were icy cold. I checked when the frogspawn arrived last year - last week of February, so I pulled a few leaves out of the pond overflow area where they like to spawn and topped it up with rain water.

Hope you are all ok. Keeping an eye on the forecast but think we will miss the snow, just sleety snow tomorrow and Friday.

Have just spoken to Firstborn and th Hospital think the virus is attacking his lungs and that they might have to keep him in.

Sorry to hear that @Yviestevie. The respiratory and critical care teams will look after him. Keep strong.

Oh dear @Yviestevie, but that might be the best place for him now. best wishes to all.

Daughter's just set off for her home in Devon, complete with cat and her car rammed to the roof with the rest of her stuff. Didn't appreciate just how much she'd bought with her! Don't know when we'll see her again and we'll miss the cat. No snow here fortunately but very cold. Didn't sleep well last night so taking it easy in the recliner watching the birds (chaffinches?) on the feeders.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts.  Apparently they are keeping him in because they are concerned that his lungs might collapse.  I just wish the paramedicas had taken him in earlier Firstborn had called them out 3 or 4 times because she was worried about his breathing.
