  • Hi @Biglad ... hatches well battened here ... the only outdoor work likely to be done here is building an ark ... or maybe a sledge would be more useful if they’ve got the forecast correct.
Morning @WonkyWomble  😊  copious coffee is being taken here ... then I’ll start the rough for the pizzas. I still feel a bit cross-eyed from doing the swab test 😠 😝

I gave up on the Covid thread as it was full of paranoia, conspiracy theories and armchair experts
    Devon.
  • @Hostafan1 just have a look at Pansyface's last few posts for her and other folks' post vacc  experiences ... just to reassure yourself that what he might experience is normal.

    Morning all.

Good luck @Hostafan1, I hope hubby feels OK afterwards, but most people I know who've had it have had a sore arm and some mild 'flu like symptoms afterwards.

Sky has gone weird, dark but sort of yellowy. Hope it doesn't mean masses more rain. SW France has been badly hit by storm Justine.

I'll sort out the two spare bedrooms today and put the books in the 4 boxes, that Dave took up for me yesterday, in the bookcase. I'm so pleased with the work the nice couple did yesterday. The garage loft is full of boxes stored in an orderly fashion, waiting for the study and utility room to be made. There are just a few boxes left in the garage to be unpacked. But I have now realised there are some things missing, an electric heater, a secateurs on a pole, an antique oval mirror.

Hello everyone.   Grey and dull again here and set to drown us this afternoon with a huge mass of heavy cloud coming up the Bay or Biscay and all across the south western corner of France so wet for @Busy-Lizzie, @D0rdogne_Damsel and @floralies too.

Glad you've had some decent rain @Pat E but I'd like a few days off now.

Sewing then except I've managed to slice my left thumb.  Being clever and cutting out my own perspex template when the Stanley knife slipped.   Oops.   Great fun skinning salmon to make fish cakes last night.  Had to call in both sous-chefs.

Hope everyone enjoys the rugby if you're watching it.

    That’s excellent Hosta.

I hasn’t expected it to be so cold out there this morning - a peep of sun now though. Shopping delivered and mine put away so time for brunch. Bought some Daffodils too 😊

Hello all, I have been looking in but haven't felt much like joining in - does that make sense? It was BIL's funeral on Thursday, sad not to have been there. Neighbours cat took a dislike to my leg last week and decided to sink its teeth into me! I thought it was healing ok but then a couple of days ago it started to look a bit angry so off to the Dr I went, now on antibiotics and normal saline cleaning regime   :(
Oh yes @Obelixx I also sliced my thumb on a sharp pair of secateurs, good job I'm on antibiotics! I shall be glad when this week is finished - it is Saturday isn't it?
Will settle down to watch the rugby later. OH managed a high cut of the grass yesterday  :)
