Great news @Hostafan1,glad to hear you are on the mend, you had us all worried there.
I've dug up some snowdrops for my SIL and will post them tomorrow, hopefully they should survive for a couple of days in transit. The GC was rammed but well organised. Afterwards we took the long way home to charge up the car and enjoy a break away from here. I could have sworn we passed a pub with queues of people and sitting at outside tables sipping something - takeaway coffees perhaps? Just noticed that our dark pink cherry tree has started blooming in the sunshine - hurrah! Hope your OH is making good progress @Busy-Lizzie. Nasty @ AuntyRach, hope the sting goes down soon.
it had become V infected. Doc spoke to hospital and told me " get to A&E NOW, they're expecting you. When I asked about the urgency he said " better than losing your finger"
Ouch @AuntyRach, that must have been a nasty shock. Maybe it was one of those long wasps, they have a nasty sting.
OH arrived safely in Caen and is on the ferry. He was early.
I've finished making my 2 new beds by the fruit garden fence and planted the last 2 roses, the Eden Rose (Pierre de Ronsard) and Stanwell Perpetual. Next I'll plant the perennials and lavenders between them.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Glad to hear you're home safe and well @Hostafan1, I hope your visit to Exeter and a UXB going off were not connected.
Seems there's quite a few of us with gardening related injuries, a dangerous hobby, who would believe it! My elbow is definitely 'throbbing' and I dropped a saucepan earlier, just too heavy and it slipped out of my hand as my whole arm went limp - I think repetitive yanking on nettle and ivy roots was the cause.
Glad OH is on the ferry @Busy-Lizzie, hope he finishes the rest of the journey in such good time. Well done on the flowerbeds, perfect weather for it this week. I wondered where you got your rose arch from, I would like some sort of rose trellis, freestanding, thought your company might do something suitable. Also looking for a metal garden bench to go under a tree, something I can throw cushions on over the summer....my list of must have's just seems to go on and on.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
