  • That's why I have an Allotment @chicky,  though I grow a few flowers for cutting there too. It's her garden when it's looking good,  but I still get to do the mucky jobs. ( same banter as you).

OH gets the mucky jobs too @chicky, especially the ones that require heavy lifting like compost turning or the wielding of a machine such as a strimmer.

OH also chats to his fellow golfers and comes home with all sorts of bright ideas about "how to", forgetting he's the under gardener and has never paid attention in all the decades I've been watching GW and reading gardening magazines and books.

He's asked me to grow 2 Brussels sprouts plants and some marigolds for the white fly..........

Hmmm, Hosta. It sounds as though you’re safer at work trying to find addresses. My best  wishes for a (sort of) comfortable night. 🙄

This summer has been the strangest I can remember. I kept the flannelette sheets on until January (unheard of in our summer). And now the temp this morning has been down to 5c. Hubby put the air con onto heat. This is after a horrible sweaty day yesterday.  Crazy.

  • Morning all,

    Another nice day forecast.

I hope you slept well @Hostafan1, but I suspect not.  :'(

Freaky weather @Pat E. Seems America is suffering something similar. It has been colder here for us than 'normal' but nothing desperately extreme, thankfully.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
a real ‘rosy dawn’ here in Norfolk. Hope my ‘coffee maker’ wakes soon ... don’t want to give him a nudge, but ...

(Virtual) College day today - time to get my thinking cap on 👩🏼‍🌾.

Weird extremes @Pat E - how are your plants coping with the yo-yo-ing temperatures 🥵🥶

Hope @Hostafan1 isn’t in too much pain today 👎🏻☹️

Chicky,I’ve dropped my bundle a bit this last 12 months regarding gardening.  I’m hoping Hubby gets his strength back before too much longer. The trouble is that his Oncologist isn’t very forthcoming, so we don’t quite know what to expect.  I’ve been growing various bits and pieces on the eastern veranda and that keeps me happy. Also, since we are coming into autumn/winter, I’ll probably just let things mosey along for a bit longer.  Maybe in spring, I’ll get things going. 😳

Morning, looks to be another nice day, ah right Dove, sort of cross between a casserole and chunky soup, then this Cawl.  Hubby might like it, I don't eat meat.
