I did an hour outside as well Punkdoc,Ikeep telling myself a little bit at a time to start with but it's hard when you see so much to do.
I'm so pleased my little sis with heart problems is having her jab tomorrow, one less family member to worry about.
It's gale force winds here too Obelixx, themain wooden gate has just blown wide open, OH couldn't have fastened it properly yesterday. Lots of debris down from the bir ch trees.

  • Bright & breezy here too, more progress with the  raspberry beds. I have made one frame,  I have decided to re-use a frame from another area for the 2nd larger bed, I just need to make it narrower.  @Hostafan1 I was mindful of your accident today as I was using my sledgehammer to re position a post spike.  It occurred to me I couldn't do what you did as I needed both hands to wield it. 😀

I was, rather stupidly, trying to use it with just one hand ( clearly that's not a good idea )

  • Well @Hostafan1 , if you’d got someone else to hold the post you might be considerably out of favour now 😉

Crikey, he must have had a narrow escape!

I unpacked 3 more boxes this morning, shoes, papers camera stuff and bits and pieces. Then did more digging and weeding of new flower bed this afternoon, it was mild and sunny.

Just had long phone chat with my sister.

  • Spent most of the day putting an extra coat on the pergola posts before I recoat the terrace deck with wood protection. A very nice man has been around to do a quote for a permanent rain cover on it (this is at CdeG).  He is in the process of designing a prototype at his own home which will be considerably cheaper than other types available - apparently, we'll see. Nice chap though and understands the balance between something useful/pretty and affordable, as in how many cups of tea do I need to sell to pay for it? As I said, we'll see.

The Tearoom has also been rewired, whilst there was no plaster on the walls, it has a new floor and work will continue for the rest of the week, hope to be completed by Monday or Tuesday. Then he starts on the upstairs tearoom, which (I hope) is an easier job.

    Weather was positively balmy.  B)

Hope the haircut is presentable @Dovefromabove, you will be able to go out soon;)

Not gales here @Lizzie27 but strong enough to be unpleasant and I have a patchwork tutorial in the making so retreated indoors to do the sewing and photos of that ready to send off to the ladies who, it seems, need a bit of motivation.

I did go out for a while to supervise OH who took it into his head to strim and weed and sharpen up the stone edges of our main front bed.  Ended up getting out the secateurs and doing a massacre on a salvia Hot Lips and a couple of catnips and then weeded out the old pelargoniums from the two pots that go by the front door so they're ready for topping up and re-planting in a couple of weeks with fresh ones with any luck.

OH and Possum are booked in at the hairdresser's on Friday pm.  I'm not due a cut for another 9 or 10 months.

Do we get pics @D0rdogne_Damsel?  Sounds like it's cracking on at a good pace.  You too with your unpacking @Busy-Lizzie.  Well done.
