I'm after just 6 seed spuds for a bay in a raised bed. I wanted to try Accent or Vivaldi this year. We grew Charlotte last year but found them a wee bit tasteless.
Our local nursery sell individual spuds for 30p each .... you can rummage through them to find good ones They might be opening as a greengrocers ... which will mean that they will be allowed to open during the lockdown and will be able to sell the seed spuds. So, I may wait to see if this happens before buying anything online.
Once again, thank you both for replying.

Unfortunately, the rules are different here in Scotland and they are closed. They are doing deliveries, but I think the cost for 6 seed spuds might be a bit prohibitive. Bee x

Hi folks, Your sewage probs sound horendous @Busy-Lizzie hope it's all sorted now. SIL is no better, but no worse, at least they haven't had to have the ambulance out again. I've been at Secondborn's all day looking after Jonah and Gabriel so I'm a bit tired tonight. Hope everyone is OK.
That's good news @Yviestevie, thanks for letting us know about SIL. I'm not surprised you're tired tonight, hope you have a good night's sleep.
We've been brave and just booked a holiday for early July in Suffolk. It's got free cancellation if we need it. I thought it might give us something to look forward to - an early big birthday treat for me.
@Bee witched I used to grow Accent and really liked them but I haven't been able to get them for the last 2-3 years. My go to first early is Foremost which was a new introduction in the 1960's when my father first tried them, they were listed as heritage in one catalogue this year Last year we had our GCs living with us for a couple of months. One who is not noted for her discerning taste declared one day "where did you get these fantastic tasting potatoes" they were Foremost & I had grown them of course.
Oh what a shame ... in that case I think I’d get some Charlotte from your local greengrocer or supermarket and use them. Last year, because of the lockdown, I used some leftover Charlottes that my brother had given us at Christmas ... he grows potatoes for the big supermarkets.

Good morning everyone. Welcome newbies. I keep thinking about your various housing problems BusyL but it seems that you are gradually sorting them out. 👏👏
Well, that storm last night gave us 23.5mm, so no complaints here. Sorry that some of your areas have been getting too much. Hubby said he read, on line, that the road to town was blocked by flood water last night, so its lucky that we don’t go there except for food shopping in the day time. I think we’ve got a repeat tonight of the storms, but it’s so good to get some rain after an extremely dry spring and summer. The thunder and lightning last night had me checking the matches and candles supply at one stage and the TV went off a couple of times, but not for long enough to bother us. 🙄

Up early to face the SM. The 6 Nations rugby starts this weekend, so beers and snacks will be required.
Have a good weekend - catch up later.
