    Good morning all. Very cold this morning but a corking sunrise.

    Hope everyone has a lovely day!
    I’ve no idea what I’m doing.
  • Morning @Latimer 😊 we had a very rosy dawn ... but was it a Shepherd’s warning 🤔?

    @Dovefromabove fortunately I don't have any sheep, so I don't care!! 😀
    I’ve no idea what I’m doing.
  • 😝 @Latimer ... but I used to have a small flock ... perhaps ‘once a shepherd always a shepherd’ ? 😉

    @Dovefromabove really?? Wow, that's pretty cool!! So, how often did the "shepherds warning" hold true?
    I’ve no idea what I’m doing.
  • Yes @Latimer  😊 I grew up on a farm and when @WonkyWomble and her brother was growing up we lived on a 9 acre smallholding.
    We had a small flock of Southdown sheep, 60 rare breed hens, pigs, bullocks and 6 dairy goats, plus a couple of ponies, geese, ducks, guinea fowl etc.  Sunrise often happened while I was feeding the pigs etc and milking the goats, and yes ... while a merely pretty sunrise was not a problem, a fiery red dawn stretching from the east across the sky usually promised stormy weather to come.

    That's a lot of animals!! Sounds great though, it's very inspiring, sounds like such a great life, lots of hard work though I suspect, @Dovefromabove

    Morning morning all.  Wonderful sunrise @Latimer.

    I wasn’t awake early enough to see the sun come up here - but I am about to make amends for my slothfulness by doing a zoom Zumba class.  Living room has been cleared of trip hazards - the light fittings will have to take their chances ....bring it on 💃

    Hi all

    In a bid to lift my spirits, have decided to look for a cottage in Scotland for a week at the end of June, early July. Hopefully it will be safe, and legal to travel by then.
    Very noisy in the garden early hours, think the Red deer may have been back, hope not, but need to go and check.
