Mowing the lawn, I don't know where mine are.
Still bitterly cold, but at least its warm in bed, surprised I haven't got pressure sores.
How can you lie there and think of England

  • I last mowed mine just before Christmas, the back does't need doing but oddly the front (faces North) could do with a trim. It would take you all of 30 secs to do with your ride on @Hostafan1 :D

I took the box off the back and put the deflector plate on and it still took almost 5 hours

Have you inherited a donkey @Busy-Lizzie?   Does it have a friend?

Thought I'd mentioned the donkey. It belongs to the previous owner here and it has a new home waiting in the Puy de Dôme, Auvergne, but they are under snow so waiting for snow to melt before transport. It's 10 and they couldn't find a home as it was a bad tempered stallion so they had it castrated, rather late, poor thing. He's getting used to me and doesn't lunge at me any more with bared teeth, but he hasn't forgiven his owner yet. It really needs a friend, donkeys don't like living alone.

    Hardly done anything today.

  • @Busy-Lizzie  a long time ago I knew a bad tempered solitary donkey who fell in love with a moody goat. The donkey was so smitten he just followed the goat around all day ... suddenly, after being so stroppy no one could handle him,  he became the sweetest tempered donkey and let people do anything with him .... as long as the goat was there 😆

Previous owners had two pygmy goats, maybe donkey misses them, but owner said he's always been bad tempered.

  • Evening all,

Nice to read your (mostly) cheery news everyone. 😁

Well done regards the poor dog @WonkyWomble.🐾 Poor thing.
    Great pic @chicky.
Glad you got to see some magic moments with your grandson @Hostafan1, very early walker too. 👶

Had a great response to takeaway lunches today, suddenly everyone seems hungry. 😱

Took an impulsive decision today to knock out a redundant (& ugly) fireplace, may well take out an ugly false archway too on Sunday, it will just open up the tearoom and prevent the bottleneck where people pay near the entrance/exit. Drastic measures, but I've got plenty of time to sort it out so might as well take advantage of the opportunity to put things right.

    The story so far....
