    Hugs to you @Yviestevie.
I had to go to Waitrose as we'd run out of milk. The car thermometer was saying outside was -2C . That's about 30C below my ideal temperature.

@Hostafan1 just be thankful you don't live in Scotland.  The weather man has said it could be -17 tonight.

Doesn't the gorgeous Thomasz really need a haircut?

@Hostafan1 Tomasz is not lovely.  He's scruffy and been in need of a haircut for months.

Owain, on the other hand is just gorgeous.  Delicious suits, even on tie free weekends and such elegant, eloquent hands.   BBC NorthWest weather if anyone's not seen him yet.

raisingirl, true, but of course the seatbelts are built in to cars these days. When I came home from work along a motorway and carriageway, I would have cars going past me, so doing in excess of 70 mph, have seen small kids hanging out of windows, standing on the gear lever  section, in front seats all without seat belts.when we have been walking the dogs at night, you can see the particulates from log burners.Mind you, its the ones you cannot see that cause the problem.  There is nothing that doesn't leave a trace of something somewhere.  What I wonder are the government intending to do with the scrapage from fosill fuel vehicles

@Yviestevie, so pleased to hear that SIL is back at home and feeling a bit better. Fingers crossed he's on the mend.
@Hostafan1 _ I can sympathise with you, I've got 4 layers on and 2 pairs of socks, plus a blanket and the CH is going full blast . I do not like this weather at all. I have been known to wander around clutching a hot water bottle. All our rooms have two outside walls so expensive to heat but we do have a lot of roof insulation. I'd rather be warm than eat. Have you got a working fireplace at all?  Do hope your pipes don't freeze.

  • What’s Tomasz supposed to do l? Famous footballers  are being fined for going to the barbers.
I’ve not had a professional haircut in over 12 months.

I think he'd look rather lovely with a grade 2 all over.
I'm sure his OH could get a pair online and do it for him.

I thought you often had your haircut @Dovefromabove, or was that before Covid?

I'm glad your SIL has started to improve, @Yviestevie, hope it's all good news from now on.

I had an email from "Promesse des Fleurs" offering 30% off Hellebores with free delivery. Afraid I indulged and added a few other things for a dry, shady, slopey bed to the right of the garage, under a tree. I had hellebores under a tree before and they did OK.
