Morning all. Grey outside but the forecast from tomorrow is mainly sunny for 2 weeks and warmer, I hope it's right.
Good luck finding a nice cottage @punkdoc. I hope travelling will be allowed before then. OH, who is resident in the UK, has to get back to Norfolk before his Brexit allowance runs out end of March. Then he won't be allowed back here for 3 months, so he's hoping he can go earlier than that. No flights though so he, or we, will have to drive to a ferry. I don't really want him to drive all that way on his own with his gammy hip, operation postponed because of Covid. I'm resident in France so I can't leave France at the moment. Brexit is a pain in the neck, to put it mildly, without it OH could have waited until travelling is safe.
I must sort out some of my cleaning products that were in 4 bathrooms, the utility room and the kitchen in the old house. All in different boxes here and some under the kitchen sink. OH wanted shoe polish, know I've seen it, can't remember which box. I want anti-limescale for the shower.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all, @Hostafan1 it's lovely seeing milestones like first steps. I was there when Gabriel took his first steps, luckily I managed to video it for Secondborn who was at work.
It is absolutely freezing here. Two men arrived early to take away the playhouse to make way for my raised beds. They looked positively blue with cold. I had planned to go out and tidy up the area and move some pots. Don't think that will be happening until it warms up a bit. We have lit the woodburner and turned the heating up.
There are men looking blue with cold in the garden behind ours too @Yviestevie ... they're putting up what looks like a Home Office ... it's a bit taller than our fence so gives us a bit more privacy ... it's under where the branches of our big ash tree were and behind our trellis topped fence which has a young C. montana grandiflora, so not really an imposition on our view

Good day all. Freezing here and a few snowflakes ❄️
Just back from the SM and delivery to Dad. Busy in SM - all Valentine’s, Pancake Day and Chinese New Year displays. I don’t celebrate any of those, but I will make pancakes on Tuesday just because I love pancakes.
Have a good weekend all.
We were able to join a really interesting Zoom session yesterday afternoon, part of the University of Hertfordshire's Oral History series, about the Titanic. I suspect being able to take part in mind-expanding meetings over the Internet will be a major "plus" to emerge from lockdown.
It's a bit warmer today but not enough to tempt me outside - the snow has gone though, and there were 2 mini daffodils in flower in a tub in the village... just a hint that spring is on the way...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Just enjoying watching the 1975 Arsenal v Spurs match ... proper football on a muddy pitch with muddy players whose names I recognise ... even if the ‘wrong’ team won, eh @punkdoc ?

Been for a wander, no sign of Deer, but I think the Badgers have been causing their usual mayhem.
