Steaming manure, boy some people are easily pleased! I just wanted to say a big thank you to Fairygirl. We were chatting about porridge. I have decided it's probably winter. Made my porridge, thought damn I forgot to get any berries out for overnight defrosting. Remembered she said she puts frozen berries on hers,I seriously didn't think it would work,it did. I won't need to get them out in advance anymore. A few months back,Dove gave me the tip about the greaseproof paper and baking beads. And they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Woof!!!

I really don't get sweet porridge.  Salt and seeds for me.

I don't get porridge in any shape or form.  Horrid stuff.  I do like oats in flapjacks, bread, biscuits, crumble but not all gooey like wallpaper paste.

Who mentioned sweet porridge! Don't think blackcurrants come under that category. Sometimes I like a little sweet stuff, yes made with water, but not runny. Hubby likes those sachets,I think that's baby food
