Have to admit that I am inordinately excited about that part, @Lizzie27

💕 Bencotto. Not sure if I'm meant to be happy, the grandkids are going home tonight. I love them dearly, but they are hard work, mentally, physically, and monetary. One is starting puberty! The are messy, cheeky, noisy. Calm shall be restored, and half my washload

Almost forgot,I had my dermatology consultant appointment this week, was very nervous, couple of "strange" non healing lesions on Face. The one on the nose, desided to vanish after being there since last year,so he was unable to diagnose, said it might come back,so he will keep my file active for 6 months so I don't have to contact my GP,I can make appointment with clinic direct. The big nasty thing,he blasted with liquid nitrogen. He looked about 15,he was ever so sweet

As we were coming out of the restaurant yesterday I overheard a chap say to his companion, “So tomorrow night it is Shakespeare and on Saturday it’s the Proms.” We’re on holiday in the Cotswolds. Where else?

I've just been on the 'other' thread, so I decided to post on this one.
Aren't the British competitors at the Olympics doing us proud?  :)

Oh - and another RTBC- my niece had her first baby a couple of weeks ago, which made up for the sad news my family had on the same day. A lovely wee girl.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Congrats to your niece and family @Fairygirl and commiserations too.

I have reason to be amused.   I am going to see a friend from the Anglo French group on Monday.  Her husband is a pilot so they have "retired" to a housing development at the edges of the Atlantic Air Park.  Instructions for finding here include a 7 page document with aerial photos and diagrams on giving priority to taxiing aircraft as they have priority and every residence has a drive long enough for cars to take cover from passing wings.  Tickled me anyway.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Is there a height restiction on the cars? I imagine an SUV with a "pod" on top is pretty tall.

No - you have to get completely out of the way.

It could make for interesting reading on the insurance claim if they don't.
