I'll pass on the gravestone and The Quaggy might reach four inches at full flood so the boat bit would have limited use. Do you get leaving stuff outside the fence anxiety? What if nobody wants it?
If no one wants it, just goes back in the garage or cellar. The garage is over the road from the house so separate as such. The odd white van is on the lookout every so often but other than that, it's just locals. If I am too lazy ( more don't have the nous ) to advertise things for money, I'm happy enough for someone else to either use it personally or make a few quid. I'm afraid I've got to the stage where if it is easier to give rather than sell, that's what I do.
I've been putting out various items as Free to Good Home in my garage driveway over the road so not really visible from my house. The old Chimney pot and a stone vase disappeared quickly - no idea who took them. The next batch - 2 cast iron urns which I had refurbished and a metal bird bath also disappeared within 24 hours. I was quite pleased but even more delighted when a card was posted thru my door saying Many thanks for the urns and bird bath and assuring me that they had found a good home. Quite made my day.
It is blowing a gale and I have just watched 2 sparrows on a very slender branch bonking I suppose you just have to get where you can, although I don't really remember.
