    Very true.  The choice wasn't exactly great when he was elected by the party, which is probably the only reason he got the job in the first place.

    I'm just hoping that any good candidates with vision and method have been keeping their heads down to avoid being besmirched by Brexit fall out and have stayed low during Covid so they come out the other side without too much baggage.

    Trouble is, I can't see who, on either side of the left-right political divide in the two main parties is blameless and has nothing to hide.

    On Thursday I received a letter with an appointment date to see the consultant regarding hip replacement surgery.  Appointment for early January was a surprise as I was led to expect it to be months away.  Here endeth the RTBC. 
    Today I received a letter cancelling that appointment and moving it to mid February.  To be honest is was expected given the current situation and the new date, assuming it goes ahead is still earlier than I was expecting.
