Lovely day yesterday, got all my lights and whites washed and dried outside.Lots of goodies out in flower in the garden.  Seeds Hubby and I have sown going great guns in the conservatory and kitchen window.  (He's never sown seeds before, always my job) Got him on another project.    I little table with 2 drawers we used to have in our last hall with the phone on top, then a bedside tale, now, all painted to match wallpaper, new knobs, wall paper inside the drawers, perfect!!
  • Its Friday, I am on annual leave next week, the weather looks lovely so plenty of time will be spent in the garden.

I also have been offered my jab so all booked for tomorrow (I'm NHS staff, not patient facing but do go into clinical areas as part of my role) so that's all done. Mum had hers yesterday, dad has his Monday.

    HAPPY FRIDAY!! :)

Dolce far niente - I like that concept @rholden_82, indeed I have a diploma in it.

My reason to be cheerful is saving £1000, sort of. We have a week’s stay booked in an apartment in the Lake District in early November. It’s a gorgeous converted boathouse with views over Windermere. Slightly worried though about the lingering impact of the virus we enquired about postponing the booking for 12 months. Not possible, they said, it’s been taken off the market.

Googling a bit more I discovered the property was being marketed through another agency and the price for the comparable week in 2022 had more than doubled, now £1000 more. We decided to stick with what we’ve got.

Dolce far niente sounds good to me now that I know what it means. :D

Sounds good @Ben Cotto but are you sure your existing booking will be honoured?

Just had an early morning MRI scan on my shoulder, been waiting for this for about 3 years. Fingers crossed I'll get an answer to all my problems 😃
  • @Wilderbeast 🤞 shoulders are complicated structures ... there’s lots of little bits that can cause problems as I know from experience  ... I hope they can sort yours out. 😊

Hope they can sort out what is wrong with your shoulder @Wilderbeast. As Dove says, they are complicated structures. Mine seems to have settled down lately, fingers crossed!

Mt RTBT today is that my orange flowered Witchhazel is blooming, I think it's 'Jelena' from memory. I'm even more pleased that I had the foresight last autumn to plant deep purple crocuses underneath it!
