Jennyj I love the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Do you still have to book online first, or can you just turn up at the gates, like you could pre-covid?

You can turn up and pay on the day - we did. It costs £5 more per ticket than pre-booking online, but OH wasn't sure whether he would feel like going on the day. Check the directions before you go though, the entrance has moved to the other side (off Hurst Lane near the airport, if you know the area).

Thanks Jenny, we used to go a couple of times a year, but haven't been since covid. If they haven't moved the entrance in the last couple of years, they are where I think they are. The first time we went must have been just after they moved the entrance, as they had a member of staff standing at the end of the street where the entrance used to be directing people to the new entrance.

Last time we went OH took over 100 photos. We live near enough to be able to get up in the morning and decide to go on the spur of the moment. Worth every penny. If I didn't have to go to work I would have one of the annual passes.

We've thought about getting annual passes but it's not really worth it until we retire and can go on weekdays whenever we like. Weekends tend to be busy if the weather's not awful.

Lovely bouquet @Hostafan1 and what a bargain. I've just paid £15 for a bouquet from Sainsbury's to take to our friends tomorrow.

@Ergates, I often think of an advert I saw for a B & B next to the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth when I read your posts. Having once lived near a very noisy donkey who started braying at 6 am each morning, I don't think I'd want to stay there.

My RTBT today is that I managed to get the stump of a box ball out of the pot it was in without breaking the pot.

I too love Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The last time I visited a baby zebra had been born the day before. I must visit again when I am next back in my English home (Leeds). Keep on enjoying your visits.

Another vote for YWP here, we always enjoy it, although haven't been this year.

I haven’t heard one yet, but I’ve just popped outside and I’m sure I could smell gunpowder.
