I love you Hosta 💖. Could I pick your brains, please do slugs/, 🐌 prefer certain types of HOsta? I have several in a permanent shady area, never scoffed, different area flower just about to come out, they scoffed through the stem, then the next stem, then the flower
Old man went out every night, bucket collection, and I might add,my best Himalayan pink salt, they're still alive the next day. The plant is now almost gone

@Nanny Beach, they certainly seem to. Some of mine are shredded whilst near neighbours are relatively untouched. I've never researched if it's the same varieties every year, or if they just latch onto one and hang about each day to feast at night.

I have Hadspen's Blue in the front garden ... I take no especial care of it ... it is surrounded by lush planting where slugs and snails could lurk, but it's never spoiled by molluscs ... whereas Blue Angel in the back garden might just as well be lace curtains  :/

Now that all those silly sports are over ;)  quizzy Mondays are back again! Looking forward to more of Victoria's arch comments and Paxman's scorn.

My Angel has been much worse in the past ... it's up on a high part of the bank, fronted by sleepers, and the hedgehogs can't get there ...  :/

My hostas are doing well but there's a few holes. I moved all the pots and searched every nook and cranny that I could think of. I can't find the perpetrator.
I know I could search at night but who knows what else is lurking out there. Definitely things I'd rather not know about.😳
    In London. Keen but lazy.
