Lots of ladybirds out as well sunning themselves and I think we've got bluetits nesting in the box outside the bedroom window - could be a trifle noisy early mornings if they hatch.

I'm absolutely spoilt when it comes to the bird life where I live I regularly see Marsh Harriers when ever I'm out on my walk/run and once had another bird of prey ( not sure what it was) sitting on my garden wall with a pigeon it had just swooped down on and was having for its lunch. A grim sight , but nature in the raw.

You don't want to be a pigeon or rabbit around here that's for sure. My cat is a tiny thing she better look up those Marsh Harriers are pretty big  :'(

RTBC I've got a seedling coming up where I sowed parsnip seeds 😁 I have no idea if it is actually a parsnip or not because I've never grown them before, and it does look a bit like a weed, but for now I'm taking it as a win 😂

I'm not sure if this a RTBC or a Curmudgeon Corner entry, but I'm sat here watching the birds destroying my coir hanging basket liners to get material for their nests.  RTBC on balance I think.

Today's RTBC is having camped in the garden with the boys last night (utterly freezing and verrrrrrrrry windy) and not getting much sleep I've just completed demolishing a  cooked breakfast complete with fried bread 😋😋😋😋. I only cook them on camp out mornings so it's a real treat, done on a fire it like proper adventuring but in your garden

Ha ha, yes we have been noting the same thing.  We have put some extra spare coir in around our planters, but of course the little tykes ignore that & are still attacking the main liners.
As well as yesterday's sighting we have been getting a  lot of visits from a pair of Jays recently.

I wouldn't mind but one of the Great Tits must have told all his friends about the supply too.  I've never seen so many of the little bugge darlings in one place.
