    We've heard a few.

Reminds me of a situation that happens every year. Someone lives in a Thames-side house between Staines and Windsor. Every year he holds a fireworks party and a lot of his friends and relatives must  gather in his garden to watch the display.

"His display" is actually that of the rowing club on the opposite bank, in the carpark next to their clubhouse. So it costs him nothing!

RTBC - I haven’t heard a single firework this year. Not one.

    Lucky you.

Started hearing a lot around us and what advertises itself as the biggest display in the city is happening about 1 mile from us tonight.  Also read this morning about a somebody who took their dog to a firework display, the dog panicked and had a heart attack.  They are apparently trying to blame the organisers of the display!
  • Lucky you,  it's Diwali, fireworks every night for the week, then bonfire night to follow.  I like a nice firework as much as anyone but it's these explosions that shake the whole house,  that I hate.

  • We had some Diwali fireworks laround here ast night, but they weren't intrusive ... much more about light than noise and some were very pretty indeed.

  • Yes @Dovefromabove, if only they were all like that I wouldn't mind at all.

My RTBC was picking up Miracle Gro , reduced from £5.99 a box to £2.99 at Waitrose.
I bought the last 4 boxes and still got my 20% discount.

Lark ascending calms me.. Too many instruments ,I find stressful. My brain keeps searching for the tune. Not musically trained so pardon the terminology😐
