Well I don't care  if I'm in a minority of one. It reminds me of lying on the top of a cliff in Guernsey listening and getting slightly irritated by the little buggers. Little did I know that it was a privilege  to be lost

  • I like a good tune played well. I find this relaxing.

  • ‘Lark’ is not one of my favourites … but it is beautiful and Pa absolutely loved it, so … so do I 😎

I fnd most of RVW's work a bit too long, and too sentimental.

Bach has been spoiled for me by background music in  poncey shops

  • Adore JSB …. but there’s a lot of Early Music I adore … having worked in an Early Music venue … however, one of the many highlights was meeting world renowned harpsichordist Masaaki Suzuki when he gave a Bach concert at our venue. 😎

I think favourite music , like favourite plants has a lot to do with association.

You'd enjoy Classic FM, @B3 - they play The Lark Ascending several times a day I think! It's become a bit of a joke here for that reason, though I do still like it. RVM's Six Studies in English Folksong is much more my thing though.
I have to like Bach, having listened to the cello suites being practiced for hours every day last year, ready for auditions. No sooner had she moved on to something else than t'other one took to playing the Partita for flute, so it's a good job I like the old geezer.

My RTBC is that l, following Monty's prompting, I took all my houseplants outside (it was a bit chilly, but needs must) and gave them a long overdue dust and fettle. I don't really get on with houseplants so I'm not sure how I've ended up with so many, but it feels good to have sorted them out.

  • It's classical guitar for me I listen to it every week,  during the end relaxation time at the end of yoga. Even though I am on a thin mat on a hard floor I could drift off very happily.
