I think there are probably EU food laws on that sort of thing @B3 so no raffles, even if we could gather punters together to buy the tickets.

Given the quarrying we do here every time we dig I don't think I want to inflict surprises on future owners.

    With mackerel.
Or  try a savoury rhubarb crumble. Might be nice. Might not. Might not be rhubarb .
Probably best to ignore it or shove it out in the path of one of your cyclones .

1st RTBC today, it's been raining through the sunshine since lunchtime.

2nd RTBC is that the Council strimmers have done their first cut this year and very carefully have strimmed around the celandines, forget-me-knots, primroses and daffodils I've got growing on the outside verge of our longest boundary. Somebody knows what they are doing! I'm going to try growing some wildflower plugs from free seed with the GW mag to fill in the gaps.

Got a big smile today.  Registration opened today for Covid vaccinations for 68-year-olds... should be jabbed (with AZ) within the next 3 weeks.   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I hadn't realised that Ireland was so far behind the UK.  I was 69 when I had my first jab on the 10th of February.  I also see reports that the EU won't order any more AZ or J&J because of the supposed blood clot problems.  This despite the EU own medical agency saying that the vaccines are safe and the risk by not having the vaccine is far higher.
I can only assume Merkel and her cronies put using something produced in the EU above the lives of the people living in the EU.

  • I'm smiling today, because it's FriYay and because we've just ordered a green house. Woohoo! Slowly moving from asking lots of questions to actually putting the helpful advice to some use
