I have come across a site for crowdfarming in Spain where young framers have turned a formerly unused corner of Spain with a tropical climate into mango and avocado farms. Now the trees are big enough to produce fruit you can adopt a tree and they'll send you fruit picked at the optimum moment and with far fewer air/ship/freight miles than the usual offerings from South America or elsewhere. Now to persuade OH it's good idea.
