Hello everyone. Flipping freezing here. I've got 4 layers on - inside the house and yes the central heating is going full blast. I need to climb out of the recliner and go and do something useful and energetic but can't quite think of anything. I'm amazed I actually wrote all my Xmas cards yesterday and posted them today, I usually leave it till the last minute. OH still has to do his though. He still sends cards to some people he went to school with, old neighbours, flatmates, almost everybody he ever knew. I find that a bit odd I suppose. Perhaps it's just me.

  • Well done @Lizzie27 👏
we’ve done nearly all of ours ... I’m spreading the job out a bit as camouflage for secretly making OH’s birthday card ... but we’re still waiting for the stamps we ordered to arrive  ... they should’ve come over a week ago but apparently there’s a delay due to high demand.

By the way folks ... First and Second Class stamps are going up in January. Buy double now and they’ll do for next Christmas at this year’s prices !!! 😎

  • @Dovefromabove yes my OH spotted that & put extra stamps on the latest SM order.
@punkdoc don't know if you are into F1 but yesterday's race was a thriller,  no Lewis Hamilton due to  C19 & his stand in was superb.  Twists & turns right to the end on a really mixed up field,  worth  a look even if you're not a fan.

When we were teenagers, my self and my friends used to hang about outside distilleries waiting on coach parties turning up. We would sneak in at the back of the party, and scoop up all the leftovers. Most folk only took a sip of each malt from their tasting session and moved on.
I can still remember this Ozzy tour guide at one distillery saying 'come on guys, that's been 5 coach parties', as we staggered through the tasting hall!  :)
I visited a whisky distillery in Norfolk, really enjoyed the tasting, I finished all my 10 samples, good thing I wasn't driving.

I didn't drop in here this morning as I went out. Went to the Post Office for 40 stamps for the UK, but she said that an English woman had just been in and had bought all their stock. So she printed out stamp stickers for me, only problem is that they will have to be stamped with her stamping thingy so I will have to go back to the PO for that when I've stuck them on the cards and they only open 4 mornings a week.

Supermarket 2 weekly shop done, had to include food for 18th and 19th when daughters are coming to collect their furniture. Bought present for 21 month old grandson, last thing I did so toy shop wasn't too crowded, the French like their lunch 2 hours.

At last I managed to take a photo of a deer from my bedroom window. I put it here https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1047017/camera-talk-2020

  • Night everyone / morning @Pat E . Braved the elements to go deliver some cooked stuff to parents today. Dreadfully cold but at least I was back before it rained. Hopefully it'll warm up a few degrees  later this week.

Morning everyone.  I’m just up (10am).🙄😁. It’s turned cold and there was even snow on the higher peaks. 🤭. We discovered some more trees over our back fences yesterday, so Hubby is planning to take the chainsaw to it today.  I’ll supervise. 😁

Hi Dove. Hope you can find a warm corner to curl up in. There was snow at Thredbo last night.  Crazy!
