@Dovefromabove -- I'm sure all these "traditional" dishes have marginally different and equally delicious variations all over the world . Sending painkilling vibes your way @punkdoc
I'm going to see my new house again this afternoon as the estate agent who is selling my house says viewings are allowed. I had to cancel my previous visit because of the lockdown.
Now I'm going to tackle the top of the wardrobes. My wedding hats are up there covered in dust, good thing they are in boxes.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hi all, @punkdoc hope it eases soon, but you know you need to keep moving if you can, stops you seizing up. 2 and GD has tested positive now she has more symptoms (17) really hoping the other twin doesn't get it, she is asthmatic as well as other issues,. No family have been more careful bl**dy school
Morning folks, Commiserations to those that need it. I had a good night's sleep and hopped out of bed comparatively early for me, hips didn't ache at all, got half way down the road and then had to hobble the rest of the way. What a pair, OH hobbling because of his gammy knee and now I'm doing the same with achey hips. Seriously worried about what I'll be like next year once the gardening season kicks off. Trip to see the new house again will be rather exciting @Busy-Lizzie, you deserve some 'me' time. Be careful though if you're up a ladder getting those hats down - it's where I keep mine as well. Do you think we'll ever wear hats again for weddings? I've been the odd one out at the last couple or so we've been to and I adore wearing hats. @Dovefromabove, shin of beef stew sounds good, I haven't done a stew or casserole for ages so must put that on the list.
Hello all, cold, wet and windy here as it has been for the last week. Lots of waterlogged areas in the garden. Managed a quick look round the garden this morning before the rain started again. The garlic is starting to come through which cheered me. Have finally got round to writing my Christmas cards, the predicament I had was what to write in my BIL's card - the one who only has a few months to live - they all have "happy or merry" inside, I decided on a French card which just had Best Wishes on it and blank inside to write appropriately, he also has a birthday on Christmas Day! Daughter and her OH are going to the Isle of Wight tomorrow a to see the house they have bought - the Vendors at long last have found somewhere else so the chain can at long last get moving.
Hello everyone. No internet todays so have been busy doing other stuff - weekly shop, chat with neighbour Luc when I took them some eggs, sorting out a curtain pole and doings for our bedroom then cooking dinner.
Insurance expert and builder chappy with estimates are coming tomorrow. I foresee a lot of haggling but it should be dry and maybe sunny. Today has been a mixed bag and tonight is set to be very wet and windy.
Hope the house visit went well @Busy-Lizzie and your daughter's house purchase goes smoothly now @floralies. I have never owned or worn a wedding hat @Lizzie27 .
Shin of beef here consists of buying just the bones, complete with marrow, to give to the dogs as "busy" treats if we need to leave them at home for a few hours. Keeps them quiet for ages and happy too.

Has anyone successfully arranged for the Royal Mail to pick up parcels?
