  • Hello all,  just a quick pop in, all a bit hectic at the mo, just about to fall into bed.

I managed a quick read back so I'm up to date with everyone's news. We're all soldier ing on bravely  aren't we. Thank goodness for gardens, and possibly port @steveTu 😊

Must sleep, have to do more baking again tomorrow, early start to keep the production line moving. 🙄😅

Chin up everyone, or possibly toes @Fairygirl

@Obelixx you seem to have a good sensible attitude to these things, but the loss of a parent is upsetting of course.

Ever onwards.....or perhaps in ever decreasing circles if you're a pigeon with a headache. 🙄

    Night all.

I had a restful afternoon after washing the kitchen floor. There was a house hunting programme on French TV, based around Lille, so I watched that. Have to keep up with the lingo! Also watched last week's "His Dark Materials" and an "I Escaped to the Country". But I did do a small amount of ironing.

  • Morning all,

I've seen your kitchen floor @Busy-Lizzie, rather large, definitely deserving of a rest after that. :)

I done my Stir Up Sunday bit already, another 4 puddings on the go, just 4 more left to do now and all orders are completed, although more coming in all the time.

I heard on the radio yesterday restaurants and bars in France will not be allowed to open again until 2021 - Macron is doing a TV broadcast on Tuesday to clarify....it is not unexpected news, I had heard possibly 1st February. Not sure what I can sell in January as Takeaway, cakes are often off the menu as it were. Garden will be beautiful though.  ;)

Little tempter for you all.... here's some I did earlier;)

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
The sky is a clear pale blue with just a few hazy white clouds, and the day looks very still.

Those look fab @D0rdogne_Damsel 😋 Unusually for us we’re not doing Stir Up Sunday this year ... we’re having different Christmas meals ... if son is with us we’ll be having roast lamb and squash from the garden. If he’s not able to join us it’ll be just we two, and we’ll have roasted duck and the lamb can stay in the freezer. Either way there’ll be lots of fruit and cheese to follow, and desserts will be chocolate mousse and a lemon and passionfruit pavlova.
I’ll make a small fruit cake nearer the time.

Morning everyone. We had a brief shower this afternoon, but that was it. Hopefully tonight.

    Morning all.
Cold and frosty but the sun is shining.

We usually have chocolate mousse and Pavlova at Christmas when the family come. Most of them aren't keen on Christmas pudding. I love Christmas pudding but we tend to have it just after Christmas when the family have gone.

Not sure what I'll do today, but there is still de-cluttering. I still haven't sorted the messiest room in the house, the utility room. I open the door and think "help" then go away

  • Morning @Busy-Lizzie 😊
take it from me ... if you sort out the utility room too soon it’ll need doing again before you move ... been there and done that 🙄
