Oh @AuntyRach I very occasionally get ocular migraines Ā ... a bit like looking through a kaleidoscope ... usually at times of great stress ... but it could be worse; Ma had the pain and nausea too, and hers were much more frequent. Ā Iāve not had an episode for several years now ... probably since I reached āa certain ageā.Ā
Hope yours settles down soon.Ā

@AuntyRach@Dovefromabove .... me three on the migraines. Nasty while they last -- but have reduced in frequency as I got older. They have evolved too - rarely get intense pain now , 'just' loss of vision on one side with nausea. Only remedy for me is to sleep it off. Feel better @AuntyRach ( and hello).
To add to @Pat E 's excellent recipe posts --- if you are going to the trouble of juicing pomegranates at home using that traditional recipe then worth using leftover kernel "bits" : dry and store them ( sun / dehydrator / oven ) -- I often use as a souring agent in a family recipeĀ for lamb kebabs.Ā
Thanks both. It is just like a kaleidoscope, with zig zags and shimmering too. Most weirdĀ that your eyes can do that. I have a headache now, I donāt always, but nothing too disabling. My trigger is usually the glare of the sun but it may be caffeine too. I only have a maximum of one caffeinated coffee per day and I treated myself to a takeaway one earlier so it might have been that.Ā
Iām just catching up on Escape to the Country whilst the painkillers kick in.Ā
Sounds good Desi. I actually used to grow them in Melbourne, but never used them. Just liked looking at the fruit. Ā No chance of them surviving in this climate I think.Ā
Aunty Rach, I hope your headache settles soon,I think you are working too hard with this Ā virus. Ā š.Ā
Must get to bed. Ā Itās getting late. Ā Night all.Ā
Hope you feel better soon @AuntyRach and you don't end up feeling wiped out.Ā Ā I had viral meningitis, encephalitis and pneumonia when I was 16 and that left me having occasional, full migraines for over a decade but then they became less frequent and less severe and now I just get a bit of light show and no pain or nausea and not even that for over a year now.Ā
@punkdoc do try and be less sullen for Moira.Ā She has a heavy cross to bear already trying to match reality and expectations.
I shall be getting a pomegranate tree for my 27+1 birthday.Ā Pomegranate molasses coming up!
Evening all,Ā goodnight @Pat E Hope the migraine is better @AuntyRach, I get those too.Ā Been a lovely day in the garden with Headache the pigeon šĀ he sat next to me on the bench when I rested and was a metre away while I worked.Ā He's tucked up in the greenhouse now.Ā Hope everyone has had a lovely day
