Hello all. The rain has reached here now, very chilly after the lovely warm days we have been having, quite a shock to the system!
Catching up on indoor things today.

No rain here and none forecast.  Clear skies which means cold at night and an expected -4C on Saturday morning.   Good job only one of the chooks still has a bit of bare bum needing new feathers.

I need to do an SM run today which means staying clean so now h****work or gardening till after.   Sewing then.

Have fun everyone, whatever you're doing.  Try and see the positives and enjoy them.  This pandemic and confinement cr*ap will pass eventually and wintery weather.   I can do 32C @Pat Enow I've had some practice.   Enjoy your strawberries.

  • Well the heavens have opened 🌧 ... just as well I popped out earlier to pick chard for the Ribollita for lunch ... lucky too that the kind neighbour delivered the compost bin a bit earlier than planned ... a large dark green dalek ... perfect 👍

Now to stir the soup as I pass the hob on the way to the studio ...

Oooh @Dovefromabove.  Thanks for reminding me about that.  Haven't cooked it for a few years but I do now have home grown kale and cavolo nero.   Perfick!

We had soup that we had combined and stored in the freezer some weeks ago. I made chicken soup from chicken drumsticks and Hubby made soup from the tough stems from broccoli. They combined well. 😜. I’m working on emptying the freezer so that I can start again with fresh stuff.

    Night all.

  • Oh dear ... poor @WonkyWomble ... as if it’s not hard enough to make a living in lockdown in the rain ... and then some thieving scoundrel comes along and steals her trug with her hand tools in it as she’s unloading her car. 😡

Oh dear, what bad luck for poor @WonkyWomble, some people are so mean. Did she see the scoundrel?

It's been a quiet day. I've done some HW.

  • Oh no @Dovefromabove and poor you @WonkyWomble. Grrrr. Sending hugs even though i've only just joined the forum. Hope bad karma follows the  thief till s/he mends their ways.

Thanks @Busy-Lizzie and @Desi_in_London (not sure if you know that Wonky is my daughter and a professional gardener). Sadly it’s the area where they live ... there are some lovely folk there but also some unprincipled chancers. The tools were in a lovely wooden trug which had been made as a present for her.
Fortunately there are some early Black Friday deals around so they can be replaced ... but I’ve a feeling suspicious types may be in need of a Cricketer’s Box when she gets her new secateurs. 😡 ✂️
