Morning all, for once I'm up reasonably early for me - time for my Monday morning alendronate pill. Looks foggy outside and rain is forecast for later so not sure what I'll do today. Hope the tree work goes well Dove and the funeral 'tea' for DD. At least that has given you some work which must be good news.Ā
I missed your earlier post @D0rdogne_Damsel - hope today goes well. This conspiracy theory is certainly very worrying, and it does seem to centre round Bill Gates and all these other multi, multi billionaires [Zuckerberg etc] and how they're funding a vaccine to 'control all of us'. I'm not sure those are easy conversations to have with anyone who is already heading down that road. I see it being on a par with the tin foil helmet brigadeĀ
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fairly certain that I've started work today - two laptops set up on the dining table and both mobiles fully charged and within earshot (no - I'm not a drug dealer ). However, no work to do or contact from my employer. Guess I'll have to make the first move.
Or I could get out in the garden and wait for a call...
I'll love to have a chat with him @D0rdogne_Damsel. It would be interesting to know why he feels that he is of such special interest to Bill Gates Think he may have watched too many films with a dystopian future theme!
Good morning all, do you ever have one of those days where you have many things to do and don't know what to do first and end up doing none of them at all? I have one of those days, maybe it's because i know I can put them off "'til tomorrow"? The sun is out and the warm sun is beckoning. I have a couple of spider plants that I had in a manger on a shady wall during the summer which need potting up and bringing in before the frosts, maybe I will do that ......... or maybe not!Ā Ā
Morning all. Yes, @floralies, that sort of day happens quite regularly here. I'd meant to dust my bedroom yesterday, but I didn't. Apart from hoover under the sofa cushions, I'm not even quite sure what I did do yesterday. Did find time to do jigsaws on the laptop and watch recorded "Strictly Come Dancing". Talked to OH on the phone a few times too.
More clearing and sorting today. The skip is coming tomorrow and the removal helping couple with their trailer for a run to the tip are coming on Wednesday. The skip won't take washing machines, lawn mowers and hard back books, bother it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning.Ā Bit grey and murky here but it's lifting and should get rather warm and sunny this afternoon.Ā Meanwhile I've been investigating contents of storage on our wardrobe but had to stop as Minstrel is asleep on the 3rd and last one.Ā Ā She was an abandoned kitten and still likes to climb for security.
Stopped for a coffee but I shall go and sort out more storage under beds and clear some space ready to construct a radiator cover in the spare bedroom - the kind of job that waits for rainy days which we may getĀ a week or two.
18 and 24 for me today @Dovefromabove. I would expect nothing less from your tree men but stopping for PopmasterĀ I went out for my walk, and I took the camera because the bit of sun that had appeared got lost in another bank of fog, so I thought I might get some nice pix. Unfortunately, the fog cleared again so I only got a few. Not looked at them yet. It was that talk of the ash trees that prompted me too.Ā The men have come back and emptied the brown bins so I can get the rest of the laurel branches I chopped the other day. I've kept some and stripped them. They'll come in handy as plant supports here and there.Ā I watched a squirrel yesterday for about ten minutes trying to get into the bird cages. Hilarious. I swear when he saw me,Ā he stuck up his middle 'toe'...Ā

Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Nothing wrong with having a lazy or no-productive day @floralies and @Busy-Lizzie.
Hope the tree pruning goes well @Dovefromabove and the funeral catering too @D0rdogne_Damsel.Ā Ā
Stay safe and well everyone.
