Although I don't agree with them, I can cope with those who think that the relative statistical impact of Covid isn't worthy of all the restrictions (although the victims would probably disagree) and reference all the other ills that currently take more lives.
However, the hoax theorists are really quite worrying. I'd actually like to interrogate your friend @D0rdogne_Damsel and drill right down to the small detail of exactly how and why the government are going to control me through a vaccine. I'd also like to know how they've carried out such convincing news bulletins and coverage of folk in hospital beds on ventilators and interviews with bereaved families. The growing number of folk with a knee jerk reaction to any perceived restriction of liberty is what really boils my p***. Do they really advocate a completely lawless society where everyone does as they pleases because no-one has the right to tell them not to? Wouldn't that be anarchy/chaos?
By the way, you do know that the government wanted you to eat casserole today, don't you
I dont know what has happened above. I had quoted a paragraph from @D0rdogne_Damsel post. Instead it has posted my post as the quote. Technology!
Well, your edited quote is still there, as is your own comment. However, next time you want to edit a quote, perhaps you could: 1. at first leave it whole; 2. get out of the quotation box; 3. write your own comment and 4. then edit the material you're quoting. It should work fine. (I hope!!)
Chatted with a friend today, but it became very tricky, he believes all this coronovirus is a hoax, the vaccine will be the governments way of controlling us all and no one has the right to take our liberty away from us. Very difficult to debate with him because I have been brainwashed apparently, as have most of us and he knows where the truth is hidden. He is a lovely lovely man, who knows he may be right, but it's not a debate I want to get into, all very tricky.
Anyway, have a good evening all, off to enjoy my casserole.
Over the past couple of months I have heard more and more conspiracy theories around covid. I try not to get into conversation about it any more as I have been called like you brain washed or a sheep. Whether these ideas are coming from fear or just wanting to believe something else I am not sure but with a lot of things there are always conspiracy theorists coming up with stuff. What I do know though, I know people who have had Covid and also I know people working on the covid wards. I will happily be a brainwashed sheep and do whatever I can not to get it or spread it.
We just had a light tea tonight as Mr Purple Rose is at work till later this evening so I am enjoying a film on Netflix in my Jim Jams 🤣🤣 we will be having beef casserole from the slow cooker tomorrow evening as we both finish work at a decent time.

@Zoe P2 technology and I dont mix too well and normally I do not do the quotes. I think I will just stick to what I know in future and not use the quote function 😂😂
That’s made me laugh. Im hopeless at all those computer things. Luckily Hubby and son are full bottle, so I can just refer things to them, or better still, logout. 😃
Another fine, coolish day here. We might go to town for an outing, but not sure yet. It’s a 50km return trip, so we only go three times a week. 🙄
Hubby’s having a l-o-n-g chat with one of his recently retired mates while his breakfast gets cold. Der!
I normally get eye rolls off my son @Pat E with my technology woes. He is a computer wizz so it is all very easy to him. I try and pick thing up off him when he is helping but he goes too fast and I get lost.
It was rather foggy here last night. It seems to have lifted slightly but it is still very murky and misty in the distance. Local radio has warned about driving over the local moors and wolds as visibility is very low.
Back to work after 2 lovely weeks annual leave this morning. Let's see what joy's I will be returning to 🙄
Lovely out there again, we're so lucky, it could be easy to get all fed up and depressed stuck in with no work to do but with weather like this the gardening takes all that away.
Sadly I am catering for a funeral today though, one of my regulars, but good age and ready to go I believe so not so bad. Only 30 people and very simple so no stress, just happy to be able to help in some small way too.
Regards my friend @Biglad, I wish someone could talk to him, it's becoming rather worrying actually. He has a wife and two kids, that are now being home-schooled and they are all living inside 20 acres and are more and more self sufficient, no need to emerge, no TV, only the internet and he obviously has a select news channels he plugs in to. Apparently the virus is the way forward for A.I. to infiltrate us all, only a few people in the world are in control of us all and Bill Gates is one of the bad guys. They are such lovely people, the wife is so kind, always positive, the kids always polite. I don't know where all this talk has come from and I just don't have enough knowledge to counter argue with him, I just follow (and not in depth) the main TV news channels readily available. It's a shame and a bit scary tbh.
Good luck with the tree lopping @Dovefromabove, take care.
Good day to all.

Morning all/afties, evening @Pat E. A lazy day is good when you've been busy. Did hubby enjoy his cold breakfast? Hope work isn't too hellish @PurpleRose - always tricky after a break, isn't it? The trouble with huge amounts of quotes, especially if they have photos as well, is that it fills up the pages, and means a lot of scrolling. Just do the quote, reply [ making sure the cursor is below - in the reply space ] and then highlight and delete everything not needed in the quote, as you would do normally. Or copy and paste a sentence from it Hope the tree 'trimming' goes well @Dovefromabove. I'm still miffed about that bloke along the road removing the mature pine which has been here for decades. It was completely unnecessary. Murk fog and cloud here too. Standard fare for November. Hopefully it'll stay reasonably dry though.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I hope he’s eaten his breakfast by now @Pat E ... it’s probably supper time now? 😆
We’re expecting the tree men around 8 ... I’ll try to take some pics before, during and after ...
