Makes sense to me Hosta. I’m sure you’d all like a bit more sunshine, if you could get it.
Hi Dove. 😃
I'd rather more light at the end of the day when everyone is up and about , than in the early morning when many are still asleep. IMHO the only real winners are the electricity suppliers as everyone has to switch their lights on an hour earlier, but those who sleep late don't get any saving
@Hostafan1 Changing the time doesn't alter the fact that day length is still the same and the nights are longer regardless in winter. Didn't get light here till nearly 8am and OH went to let the chooks out before going off to play golf and they weren't interested, not even for a mango treat!
Dull and grey here now but dry. I'd have stayed in bed too but t need to be up just in case the roofers come early. Sod's law says they won't come till after lunch, just cos I'm up and dressed in good time and not schlepping about in my kaftan.
2nd coffee already poured. Newspapers to read then sewing for me.
@Pat E ignore the clock and eat when you're hungry! I hope the rain you've had is helping your garden grow, especially veggies.
Good morning to all those yet to check in.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

More heavy rain overnight. Supposed to ease by this afternoon. Hope so as I'm going to potter in my sister's garden. Bit of a tidy up with a view to closing down my fruit & veg offshoot for the winter
I’m with you @Hostafan1 ...... hate the dark evenings, and if, at its worst, it got dark at 5pm instead of 4pm it would make it a whole lot better. I find it difficult to just ignore the clocks - if you interact with the world around you in any way its impossible to do that. Opening times, closing times, scheduling of things on the telly, school/office times ......I could go on. Suppose I could become a hermit .....but that doesn’t appeal either 🙄.
I had a flurry of zoom calls yesterday- in preparation for our garden clubs first virtual lecture next week. They told me noone would be interested ....but at last count 60 households have signed up (and many of those will have 2 people watching the screen). Now just have to keep everything crossed that its an entertaining evening 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Morning all/afties @Pat E. Just as well we don't all laugh at the same things eh? I have no problem with the clock change. Still the same number of daylight hours. There are parts of Scotland which would still be dark at 10am if they didn't change, and we already have fewer hours of daylight in winter. It isn't as simple as just leaving it. Been wet here overnight too, and more to come so I might get out soon to avoid getting too wet. I saw a smashing toadstool last week but didn't have my camera so I took it on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it had already opened, but I took some anyway. I might take it again and see what I can get pix of.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Its been a cracking year for toadstools here too @Fairygirl
Meant to say ......we (me and the sisters) were meant to be coming for a weekend in Edinburgh this weekend - we postponed it til the Spring about 10 days ago. Must have had a sixth sense 🔮 🔮
Oh - you don't want to go to the 'dark side' @chicky. West is best! Lovely toadstool. There was quite a few of those when I was out on Monday, but they weren't as pristine as yours. I've taken some nice ones on hills though.

The alarm’s sounded, the coffee maker is awake, he’s back to work today after ten days A/L.
