Think you need some serious aeration there @Biglad!

Possum and I have been to a new beach with the dogs.  It's on the west facing edge of La Tranche and wide with good waves and wind so much loved by kite surfers.  It turns out Bonzo likes the look of kite surfers as he stood and sang to them when we got down there.

Finally managed to tear him away for walkies downwind  but he pulled like a train on the way back up to the surfers.  Does singing count as exercise?

We’ve been down to Suffolk ... dropped off a package for Bro (he’s isolating so we didn’t stop) then to Southwold Harbour to buy fresh fish... lovely chunky cod and some plaice fillets fresh from the boats .., that lot has gone into the freezer. We also got a pair of lovely fat kippers for tomorrow and I had a pot of cockles for my lunch.  It was lovely and sunny down in Suffolk ... back here to more rain 🌧

Love a good raid on a fish market @Dovefromabove but we're back on a freezer emptying exercise at the mo.    Doesn't help that Possum only likes salmon and prawns..... and battered squid rings.

It is a lovely beach @Lizzie.  They all are round this part of the coast but not in August  - packed like sardines - and many not in July either.  This one faces west so nothing between it and the USA.   There's another further up and even wider which is set aside for wind surfing on the sand.

puke @Dovefromabove, I love that place on the harbour. I'll have to wait until this house is sold before I can go there again. It would be dreadful to be stuck in Norfolk  on moving day in France!

I've been cleaning pictures today. There are quite a lot, mostly watercolours. I will be giving some to my children. Lots of cobwebs on the wall behind them, not something I do very often.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Dry start here but just as we were going to go for a walk the rain came. It's been on & off all day, just managed to get the grass cut in late afternoon, but got wet putting the mower away. OH was busy cooking for family again their house saga just goes on & on, delivery of bathroom chinaware arrived smashed so had to go back. Tiles ordered months ago still not available for another 5 weeks!

    Morning all 🤪

Meant to be dry here today so hoping to get out for a walk somewhere 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏻‍♂️

Love that beach scene @Obelixx - hope it blew the cobwebs away 🕸

College was good yesterday- although slightly surprised to find that the RHS will dock marks from you if you don’t include hormone rooting powder in your “taking cuttings” routine.  I don’t know anyone who uses it In the real world - pretty ineffective and nasty stuff to boot 🙄.  Oh well, at least they have finally woken up to the drawbacks of peat, so slowly dragging themselves into the 21st century 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Enjoy your walk @chicky 😊

There’s a dry day promised for us too ... I had some wallflowers and tulips arrive yesterday so will try somehow to find room to wedge them into the bed in the front garden.
