Not a Richard Gere fan but I definitely ‘got’ Bryan Ferry ... but then I never saw the attraction of a young Paul McCartney whereas George Harrison ... phew!!!
    😅 😍😍😍

Cat Stevens for me @Dovefromabove. Definitely George over Paul any time.  ;)
That reminds me - the answer is Jasper Carrott - to my quote question. Still a brilliant quote even if it wasn't Mr Lennon.  :D

...I've checked all my Bobby Womack tracks and Otis Redding - and even Rufus Thomas who just loved a dance song - and loads of references to other dances like the tarantella, fox trot and polka, but no fandango.

Richard Gere is handsome? In which universe? Beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder eh? I just saw him in that Mother, Father, Son thingy as well, and he can't even act. My first wife used to go weak at the knees over Gere - and David Essex. I used to get likened to George Clooney....but then the alarm went off.

Yes - David Essex was a big favourite with girls. I could definitely see that. The cheeky grin and twinkly eyes. It was still Cat Stevens for me though, and Dylan was just gorgeous in the late 60s and early 70s :D
Chiselled, dark haired, sophisticated and suave looking. I can absolutely see that in Mr Gere.  :)

Robert Redford for me, but he is my twin.

I was more a Steve McQueen and Paul Newman girl @punkdoc, but I'm fond of Mr Redford too. I think his looks often prevented him getting the roles he should have got - I think he's a very underrated actor.
    Your twin  :D
I'd like to be Cyd Charisse's twin...

I agree with @Dovefromabove about George Harrison, I had a huge crush in my teens.

I once got accosted in the street by an oncoming stranger who jumped in front of me and shouted, "How do we get off the island, Jack?" so, apparently, I bear at least a passing resemblance to an older Matthew Fox (in "Lost"). However, I assumed that the strange stranger was both a student and under the influence of illegal substances at the time  ;) making him an untrustworthy judge of pretty much anything  :D

@punkdoc, Fish the former lead singer with Marillion was on GW this week. I was thinking of the track "Beaujolais Day"  :)

George's son, Dhani,  is terrifyingly like him. They show that tribute concert quite often [Clapton, Tom Petty etc] and he plays guitar with them all. Even George's wife said to Ringo or Paul, it's as if they all got old but  George had stayed young.  :)
I never watched that @Biglad. I'd have to look him up .
