@Dovefromabove. So sorry to hear about your brother, thatās not the one from down here is it. Ā let s hope they can do something for him. When my cousins daughter had her lung cancer operation they couldnāt handle it up there and sent her to London.Ā
I agree about the selfishness of people, canāt stay still for even a year to break the chain, blaming everyone but themselves, Ā itās probably the first bit of hardship theyāve encountered. Ā Think of all the young men and women who were set to go to university at 18 but were called up for 6 years.Ā

Hi folks,Ā Hammering down this morning and blowing a gale.Ā I think I'm going to try and finish Gabriel's jumper and then perhaps start a new cross stitch.Ā Looks like next week will be the start of a new lockdown.Ā Not sure what that will man for us.Ā Think I will still be able to go to Secondborn's as she is alone with the kids I think she can form a bubble with us while still seeing their Dad.Ā Will have to investigate.Ā It's also complicated by the fact that I provide childcare for Secondborn and Hubby provides it for Firstborn.Ā He also teaches.Ā
My daughter 2, who doesn't like me at the moment because I'm selling the house, keeps telling me that it's all the fault of my generation and our selfishness, use of plastics, destroying forests etc that the world is in the state it is today. She is 40. I feel that her generation has had a lot to do with it too.
Sunny here but the ground is still very wet. Sheets are on the line from the family visits. More to wash tomorrow.
Waking in the early hours seems to be becoming an irritating habit.
While the weather is nice I must finish clearing outbuildings and put all I want to keep in the lean too and stuff for the skip or dechetterie (tip) in the stable. Don't know if it is possible to go to the tip during lockdown. But I wake up feeling so washed out I can't get motivated.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I liked him as Bond but prefer Daniel Craig now.Ā Loved his performance in Indiana Jones.Ā Great fun.
@Busy-Lizzie - check your council website.Ā Our tips are open still and at least if you can plug away a bit at a time you'll get thru the sorting and have stuff ready to go when you have some help to get it there.Ā Ā Ā Ā
@Lyn ... I've only got the one brother ... he's in East Anglia.Ā We're all scared that if Covid admissions increase, his treatment is going to be impacted.Ā We're also scared that my son's operation will be further delayed and his hearing will deteriorate even more and he'll never be able to work in his chosen profession again.Ā Another very special family member is waiting for a scan ... fingers crossed it'll prove to be nothing, but if it is something a serious operation and further treatment will be needed, and then there's Wonky's lovely husband who is vulnerable due to an inherited condition, but having to go to work and mix with people ... and now we hear that there's a big illegal rave planned somewhere in Norfolk for tonight ... because young people are "fed up and bored with it all now" ... that's what they're saying on local messageboards.Ā Ā š

Iām going to take my mind off it for a while with a bit of rugby. Worth a watch even just to see the saucepans/sosban (pronounced soss-pan) on the goal post tops at the Parc y Scarlets, Llanelli.Ā
@AuntyRach I spent my twenties singing Sosban Fach along with Max Boyce on tv on Friday nights when my now ex was in the pub.Ā Ma was a huge fan of his too ... I took her to a couple of live concerts and she blushed like a schoolgirl and sang alongĀ Ā Ā Her sister married a Gower man and we have Welsh rellies ... my son spends a lot of time with them on the Gower ... my cousin knew JJWilliams and the Halfpennies were at his Big Birthday.Ā Ā

Iāve had just about as much as I can take from you positive, optimistic, non judgemental, empathetic people. Ā Not.
I may see you in 2021. Ā Or then again I may not.
